The discreet cocoa flatterer
Blue Agava & Cacao starts fruity with red berries and a touch of lemon. Very quickly the determining note of the scent of dry cocoa joins the opening chord. The cocoa is only slightly sweet, with a decisive bitter coffee-like note of cocoa powder. In the background I also think I can perceive some cinnamon. After some time the mild, fresh and a little sweet scent of agave unfolds, which combines very pleasantly with the cocoa. The now added freshness reliably counteracts the sweetness and provides a warm, spicy and only slightly sweet fragrance experience. In the following drying phase Blue Agava & Cacao becomes darker and powdery. Musk, green wood, cinnamon and dry, powdery vanilla complement the fragrance very pleasantly in the base.
After only an average of 6 hours the scent has disappeared from my skin. The projection is relatively close to my skin over the entire course of the scent
If you are looking for a subtle cocoa-like, artisan-made fragrance, you will be well served here. In my opinion, the perfume would be suitable for all seasons and almost all occasions (except sports)
Alone the somewhat weak endurance of Blue Agava & Cacao ensures that he is not a candidate for purchase with me.

Sweet, sweet Gaultier²
Gaultier² opens with a surge of sweet, juicy vanilla and a hint of orange blossom. The scent is very intense at this time and one wonders if two sprays might have been one too many. The very intense vanilla is joined by something fruity, which is most likely still reminiscent of blackcurrant and/or grape. Malicious people would call this scent a chewing gum note. This, let us say grape note, is latently present over the course of the fragrance. This fragrance is underscored by musk and very sweet amber. In the course of time, as soon as the nose gets used to this sweet raid, a fragrant ambience remains, which reminds me of an admittedly delicious vanilla-caramel cream with honey and burnt orange peel. Without major changes in the fragrance experience, this very linear fragrance dries after an extremely long 10 hours. The projection is also enormous and one is clearly perceived by the environment.
For me, Gaultier² is a very sensual fragrance that creates a pleasant warm and inviting and cosy atmosphere. A cold winter's day in front of a crackling open fire would probably be the perfect application area for this fragrance.
In fact, I feel the perfume is unisex, but would not want to wear it in public except on the occasion mentioned above.
I can recommend Gaultier² for those who want it very sweet and are not afraid to smell of a large portion of vanilla cookies.

A good friend
L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme opens with a light, soft citrus accord, consisting of bergamot and citrus fruits, underlined with fresh black pepper dust. After a short time, star anise inexorably pushes itself into the foreground through the citrus scent cloud. A fragrance of salty liquorice is created, which can now always be perceived latently until the fragrance dries up. Gradually the liquorice undertone is reinforced by a dry, woody, lush cedar note. In addition, the fragrance gets a nice floral note through the use of sweet jasmine and hibiscus. A tiny hint of smoky tea and lavender dims the sweetness and rounds off the fragrance experience in this phase. With the appearance of cocoa beans, which fortunately are not very sweet and yet very nutty and chocolaty, the drying phase begins, in which the perfumer Béatrice Piquet has cleverly interwoven patchouli with a slightly earthy tendency, warm cocoa, sandalwood, and musk with green aspects. All components now seem to complement and reinforce each other in perfect harmony. After a long 8 hours, L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme slowly fades on my skin and I feel a tendency to replenish, which I rarely do. The projection is arm-length throughout the entire wearing period and fits perfectly with the fragrance.
L'Instant de Guerlain pour Homme has an excellent quality and is a valuable companion in cool weather for all occasions.

Peaty malt and yet no single malt whisky
Pure Malt opens with a sweet, spicy, juicy eruption of fruity notes and a strong portion of malt, which reminds me more of a malt extract or malt powder than of malt liqueur or malt whisky. In the background, woody notes and a delicious hint of cool, slightly musty and bitter peat follow very quickly. In the further development of the fragrance, the malt aspect diminishes somewhat to give the peat a little more freedom. At the same time the sweetness increases and a caramel chord is clearly perceptible. Pure Malt retains this fragrance from the ever softer malt peat note and the sweet caramel until it dries out completely after about 8 hours. During the wearing period the environment takes the scent clearly and I would speak of a slightly above average Sillage.
Pure Malt is best used in the cooler months, but can also work well as a fragrance on a warm evening.
I can recommend this fragrance for everyone if you prefer the sweet, gourmand and juicy scents, whose central theme is a malt peat accord.

A little bit of everything
Cologne du 68 is one of the most unusual fragrances I have had the pleasure of testing so far. Even the manufacturers' side speaks of 68 different components, which, when mixed together, should result in a harmonious fragrance experience. I was very sceptical whether it would be possible to conjure up a homogeneous, fragrant scent from the following ingredients.

These are, if I read correctly:
Bergamot, green tangerine, lemon, clementine, lemonate, blood orange, lime, grapefruit leaf, basil, fennel, star anise, lavender, laurel, cypress, elemi, thyme, Myrtle, neroli, mandarin oil, lemon oil, pear, violet leaf, ivy, gentian, currant juice, freesia, lily of the valley, hazelnut leaf, cyclamen, cardamom, coriander, black pepper, pink pepper, nutmeg, ginger, jasmine, frangipani, magnolia, orange blossom, peony, rose, carnation, ylang ylang, lychee, fig, blackberry, strawflower, pistachio, Opoponax, amber, benzoin, vanilla, cistus, heliotrope, iris, tonka bean, sage, musk, patchouli, oud, cedar wood, sandalwood, vetiver, ambrette seed, praline, myrrh and lichen

At the latest here it was clear to me that I would not be able to smell out all the ingredients here.
The test could begin. Shortly after spraying, I began to notice a strongly spiced citrus fruit, which was soon pushed back by various green notes and a fragrance of fresh earth, crushed twigs and leaves prevailed. The fragrance experience was accompanied by summery blossoms, cool lavender, pepper and sweet aniseed. Various resinous notes support and strengthen the latent spices in the most pleasant way. I perceived the peppery notes and the sage most intensely.
Cologne du 68 was incredibly multifaceted in this phase. No sooner had you got used to an impression of scent than you were overrun by a wave of scent with something completely new.
This interplay continued into a warm, soft amber base. Even in this phase it remained diverse and exciting. Soapy notes of iris, heliotrope, carnation, white musk and orange blossom shared the field with earthy notes of tonka bean, sage, opoponax, vetiver and oakmoss. The fragrance was rounded off here by the light sweetness of praline, vanilla and benzoin.
All in all, Cologne du 68 achieves a good projection, with a durability of about 7 hours on my skin.
I recommend the autumn or spring as a gestation period.
If you like a varied, complex, beautifully blended fragrance, you can strike here without hesitation.

Thanks for reading.
