I found it insanely beautiful on paper, a brief feeling of infatuation! So deep, dark, mysterious... I felt like an explorer at the entrance to a huge, millennia-old cave. The light only shone in a few meters deep, then blackness. From the darkness, I can hear promising dripping, crackling, fluttering. A lot more awaits me. So head torch on and in there! --> sprayed onto the skin, waiting anxiously.
After half an hour, a fog of flat scratchiness covers my skin in the dark. So I come running out of the cave breathless, a bat has startled me. Or... what was that? After a few minutes, I take another step inside. I'm not about to be chased away. Sure enough, the scratchiness has given way to an earthy sweetness. Interesting... I venture a few more meters forward. There's another scratch from the corner - my nerves are frayed, I'm taking a break for today.

Not a "compliment-getter" - unless "you smell like a dentist" passes for a compliment. It's not dirty either, more like freshly cleaned - with something antibacterial... it smells more like floor cleaner than body soap. Nevertheless, I really like wearing it. For once, a clean scent that is a bit off-putting. A highlight for me on dull days.

the first whiff gives me nothing but lavender, smells just like a mothball. then slowly the other notes —thyme, fir, musk...— come through and the scent becomes softer and more complex.

too bad that by the time that its fully developed — when I think I actually really like it (because clean but its got this herbaceous edge) — its gotten so quiet and soft that I can barely detect it on me anymore.

When I first got this, I was immediately hooked just from the first whiff. I wanted to wait for a hot summer day to actually wear it, but was too excited to smell it again, so just a week later, I greeted a medium-warm spring day with a spritz of the zestiest bitter orange I have ever tried.
It is not only energetic and fun, but due to its clear and linear spirit also very elegant. It takes no detours, it knows exactly what it wants and how to best get there.
If Bigharade was a person, they would be extremely funny without ever being annoyingly silly. They'd have the intellectual means to kill you in a debate , but would actually refrain from any petty fights and always stay friendly.

This is the first "niche" perfume I ever purchased, just three years ago, and I remember how in awe I was about it.
I just tried it in the shop because the salesman suggested it to me after I very vaguely asked for some kind of green fragrance. I did not expect to like it, somehow I had this image of ~musk~ as a fragrance for old men. I expected something quite heavy and peppery.
So the sharp coldness of it really took me by surprise. It sounds cheesy, but I really had not smelled anything like it before. It is sweet, floral-powdery, but not heavy at all, somehow metallic and cold, while at the same time warm and close to the skin.
I hardly ever wear it at the moment, but I still know exactly what drew me into it, and probably, some future fall/winter, I will rediscover it and again be fascinated by its delicious contrasts.
