- a piece of Francis Kurkdjian -
Anyone who is more or less involved with perfumes knows this name, or has at least unconsciously "smelled" it before.
This man has created eccentric masterpieces like hardly anyone else.
He helped Jean Paul Gaultier become a name in the world of fragrances that everyone knows today.
He gave a signature scent to a large part of modern men with Le Male at just 25 years old.
Who could be more suitable to create their own label than such a great talent?
APOM - a piece of me
For me, we have here not only in name but also in scent a true piece of Francis Kurkdjian.
The best Kurkdjian!
The best Kurkdjian because the master consciously incorporates his past with Gaultier (to whom he surely owes a lot) into his new line.
That the scent is supposed to have something to do with his grandmother from Lebanon, he can tell his grandmother, but marketing is another story...
Please forgive me, but for me, APOM is primarily a fusion of "Le Male" and "Fleur du Male".
From both fragrances, you can find the most beautiful scent components here - lavender, amber, orange blossom, and of course the typical "Gaultier signature note" coumarin.
Of course, Mr. Kurkdjian has only used the highest quality oils here, and you can smell that.
Right after application, you can really smell the finest lavender.
Anyone who thinks they don't perceive the lavender so clearly should definitely sniff directly on the skin, because from a distance, the lavender hides behind its dream partner - the orange blossom.
It is a wonderful partnership where no one is in charge alone, but both come into play equally.
This partnership becomes truly beautiful as soon as the freshly married couple retreats together to their "amber house" to warm a load of coumarin in the oven.
From then on, we have an absolutely heavenly and soft scent that wraps around the skin of the wearer, or indeed the wearer. APOM is definitely to be classified as a unisex fragrance.
- It is a scent that has been driven to the edge of perfection!
- It is a scent that simply MUST please everyone, similar to how Le Male used to be (even if only a few admit it today...)!
- It is a piece of Francis Kurkdjian!

Bvlgari Black Smart
Andrea Maack has introduced a new fragrance called Smart, which is absolutely worth sniffing closer.
What we have here is a refined version of the brilliant Black by Bvlgari!
The Icelanders have indeed managed to tone down "Black," making the scent somewhat more mass-appealing.
Bvlgari's Black could not be worn everywhere, but Smart can.
Both start with a nice rubber accord, but while Black immediately lets the tires spin and thus appears dirtier, the rubber spectacle in Smart comes across much more delicately; one could simply say - "smarter"!
Andrea Maack's fragrance designers have woven this very "smartly" by using a delicate violet accord to tame the biting jasmine a bit.
Everything is wonderfully executed, and the fragrance does not become boring; rather, it becomes more wearable and slightly more feminine.
Musk and leather accord stay nicely in the background, forming a lovely base to prevent the artwork from drifting into sticky-sweet territory.
So in summary:
A bit more powdery/sweet due to the violet and a tad less harsh jasmine, and what do we get, dear perfume lovers?
-The perfect toned-down Bvlgari Black!
No worries - still with a sexy touch under the rubber mantle!
But that's not all, as there is still something to admire, namely a beautiful bottle including a lovely fabric pouch...

Alter Falter - it works - 100 percent!
Wow, I saw here that the Homme from Dior has been rated 85% and the ladies are into it???!!!
I checked it out directly at Dougi and I almost got the gel out of my hair!
Powdery, sweet, and even with a cocoa scent in it, really crazy combination!
Since Le Male is said to be junk according to the forum, I had to quickly find something else, I’m not an intelligence allergy sufferer! ;-)
I’m still struggling at the moment, but luckily this brother is still holding up…
Well, and when you want to go out again (you know, sailing with one hand is boring, he he) then this is a good investment! (cheaper than… he he)
I’m going to throw myself on the Bitchburner now and really make an impression at the club tonight!
Totally cool of you, I swear!
HIGH FIVE!
- Addendum 03.03.12:
The evening was seriously awesome, the other buddies couldn’t deliver anything against me ;-)

Bond can do well, very well indeed!
After the Bond line has recently received a lot of criticism...
(in the form of)
- too expensive
- ugly bottles
- boring scents
- scent copies
…it is time to share a few nice words again.
In High Line we have a very expensive fragrance, but it offers even the most spoiled noses something special.
You get 1. a high-quality and very beautiful bottle.
You get 2. a stunning, if not the most beautiful tulip scent that can currently be found on the perfume market.
High Line smells exactly as the bottle promises.
Amidst a rich green of various grasses, delicate tulip blossoms emerge, gradually releasing their distinctive fragrance.
The hyacinth, rose, and other "hidden" flowers are gently pushed aside.
The tulip is the main actor here.
The longevity of this Bond can only be described as fantastic, especially for a green summer fragrance!
Summary:
High Line is great, inside and out!
High Line is rare!
High Line is worth its money!
Note:
- Anyone who likes Byredo's La Tulipe should definitely test High Line as well. The tulip note in High Line is a bit greener, but much more natural, and the longevity is nearly twice as good.

For Nivea babies and those who want to be one again...
Yes, I confess, I am one of those people who have loved the scent of Nivea cream since childhood.
Even as a tiny tot, I felt completely comfortable and clean after bathing and then applying the "white gold" - simply reborn.
This love has not diminished to this day - on the contrary.
Back then, we didn't really appreciate this delicate, insane scent, but today I do all the more!
The fragrance starts off slightly green, but this moment is really very brief (just a few seconds).
Then, the tide turns quickly, and a luxurious Nivea cream note awakens, blooming in the most beautiful way.
Dreamy, a scent that tenderly creams and pampers you.
The longevity is, as Ergoproxy has already noted, unfortunately below average.
Probably, such a fine fragrance cannot be concentrated more highly without destroying or at least impairing its delicacy.
But in summary:
Absolue pour le Matin is an absolute fragrance highlight!
A scent that you can smell its high price!
A scent that puts the deserved crown on Nivea!
Francis Kurkdjian impressively proves once again what a gifted perfumer he is - grade 1 with a star!
It should be mentioned at this point that this fragrance has a greater similarity in its scent type and creaminess to Frédéric Malle's "L'Eau d'Hiver."
However, the Kurkdjian creation feels significantly more high-quality.
Test it, Parfumos, especially the ladies, please!
Regret is absolutely out of the question if you like the scent of Nivea!
In this case, even a blind purchase would be completely risk-free...
