If a perfume could go for eons
I got a tester of this perfume from my ipsy bag. Immediately it reminded me of Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works but slightly grown up. The caramel and spun sugar notes are so strong, I couldn't even tell you the top notes and they would linger for days. There is also a hint of gourmand rose; think rosewater from a Damask rose rather than a garden. I felt like this scent ended up wearing me, rather than me wearing it. I don't think the scent left a trail or was particularly loud, but its headiness constantly drew my attention.

I'm not generally opposed to sweet, gourmand smells. But this one was boring, predictable, and a bit too cloying. The design of the bottle feels incongruous; it's too energetic for this scent. Perhaps I am not the target audience.

If sweet girly scents had a mature cousin
On a childhood level, Honey Jasmine brings to mind the nostalgia of rushing to slurp the syrup from a freshly opened lychee jelly cup before it all seeps out. As an adult, it's the wafting sweet, almost sugary jasmine that lends flavor to oolong tea. Cozy but fresh, the girliness of this perfume isn't sugar and sprinkles. I wish it lasted longer because it's truly a unique scent. One of my favorites.
