An EdC, which is already over 30 years on the market. Is it old/old baked ?
Top note:
Fine, versatile spice notes are very pleasantly present here. Lemon gives the top note a beautiful freshness. The spices are from fine to piquant. Very versatile.
Heart note:
Here it becomes a bit floral, but more spicy wood notes. Pine yes, with a good portion of pine needles. Relatively fresh.
Base:
Fine leather, similar to high-quality gloves, with a pleasant wood note. Moss, after light rain, fine vetiver, noble, with a piquant but pleasant musk note. Quite complex.
My conclusion:
A great Eau de Cologne, noble, elegant and very fine. Very high quality. In no case old or stale. I like to wear it on the weekend, on cool and warm days. Durability with me good 4 hours. May be a little longer.

An ancient classic in the field of Eau de Cologne. Not only for refreshment. I (born 1964) can still remember some things from my childhood. Quite a few, mostly older, ladies used 4711 Original Eau de Cologne, in summer for refreshment or even for headaches. They then generously put eau de cologne on a handkerchief and then rubbed the handkerchief several times over their forehead. Apparently it helped. About the fragrance itself: Strong at first, but pleasant with a hint of lemon. Light green notes are noticeable. In the course of time, the rosemary makes it a bit spicier. Lavender is added, but more to round off the fragrance. The scent is and remains very pleasant until the end. My conclusion: An original with a high recognition value. There are already numerous Eau de Cologne on the market. Some may subjectively be as good or even better, quite possible. A matter of taste. However, this EdC has additional, special characteristics, e.g. it also creates a certain feeling of well-being, you can rub yourself with it almost everywhere. It smells very pleasant and refreshing, especially in summer, very good. Some people still use it today for headaches. For me it belongs in my collection. Haltbsrkeit, with me after under 1 hour unfortunately end.

There are fragrances or after shave of a very special kind. Old Spice is one of them for me. But first things first. In the beginning you have a good load of spices. From fine to strong, everything available. The piquant spice is already strong, but also pleasant if you like strong düte. With the time the spicy goes a bit into the background. Freshness makes itself pleasantly noticeable. Not very strong, but pleasant. Fine leather sets in. Slightly smoky wood joins in and skilfully rounds off the very good overall impression. I perceive a very fine vanilla note in the background. My conclusion: an after shave that stands out from the crowd. It is strong, spicy and relatively complex. For an AS already quite high-quality. It's been on the market for ages, but certainly not old. The care properties are quite good. Durability ? Even if it is not my first priority for an AS, after max. 2 hours it is over. Enough for me absolutely.

I became aware of this scent here in the forum. Ordered on the Internet. How do I like it ? Here we go.
Top note:
Pleasant, slightly green freshness meets a slightly spicy note. Quite balanced. Smells a little bit like fresh, slightly spicy herbs to me.
Heart note:
Spicy wood is clearly at work here. Resin, subtly sweetish, with a very light smoke. Heart note quite present.
Base:
Leather notes clearly dominate here. Amber creates a pleasant complement to the leather. It becomes more dominant / spicy overall. Leather slightly sweetish. Slight freshness remains right down to the base and supports the fragrance very skilfully. Very pleasantly balanced
Conclusion:
An overall very successful fragrance, which reminds me of the 80s. In the base the fragrance reminds me a little bit of YSL Opium, but the whole fragrance doesn't. YSL Opium is in comparison more powdery, drier and much heavier. Bois Oriental is a bit "greener", fresher and lighter. Not better or worse, but different. I will wear it on cooler days in my free time. Durability with me 6-8 hours. I find Sillage sufficient, not a fragrance bomb, but certainly not weak or too discreet

Some people like leather scents. Some Tom Ford Tuscan Leather. Some Rasasi Yugawam. Both highly recommended. How about Dark Rebel Rider by John Varvatos ?
Flacon:
The flacon is very elaborate and beautiful. Glass flacon in leather-look cover, right and left zipper. Lid partly metal with application (iris ?) on the lid. The sprayer distributes the fragrance very finely.
Such a flacon and such a great sprayer I would not have expected in this price range.
Top note:
Piquant spice and very subtle, fruity notes. Spice clearly dominates here.
Heart note:
Floral, partly strong / dark, notes clearly dominate here. Nice incense note skilfully supports the heart note. Some wood already suggests itself.
Base:
Russian leather complemented with vanilla chocolate and woody notes.
Russian leather in a more discreet version. Cocoa not too strong, no chocolate bomb. Wood skilfully completes the base and makes the fragrance more versatile.
Conclusion:
The flacon is really successful. A highlight in my collection. In the field of leather scents this scent makes a good and pleasant impression. But it doesn't quite come close to TF Tuscan Leather or Rasasi Yugawam. Why ? It is a bit too discreet and the durability could be better. With me it is over after 4 hours. Clearly too little for me. Rather for the evening/leisure time on cooler days. PLV good to very good. In the Internet ordered, 125ml EdT for nearly 40 euros. No highlight, good and solid for a smaller price.
