The Fabric Softener from the Home Shopping Channel
To replenish my signature stock, I found myself browsing the online site of a well-known home shopping channel. A fragrance set from Ms. Borgnine ended up in my cart. But since I was already there, it couldn't hurt to look around a bit more. A page later, the simple glass bottle from E. Grant caught my eye. I browsed through the customer reviews in the product details, and right from the first one, I was hooked. The lady wrote that the scent smelled like fresh laundry. In the further reviews, the words detergent, fabric softener, Nivea cream kept popping up... Hah!! That's exactly my thing!! Natural joined Signature in the cart as well.
Three days later, I already have it in my hands. However, my bottle looks different from the one here and the one depicted on the online site. A white floral vine winds across it. I personally find it even prettier.
Upon spraying, a fresh cloud immediately fills my nose: orange, grapefruit, and lemon are clearly noticeable. However, this opening doesn't last long, as it soon transforms into a dreamy detergent-fabric softener scent. I can't distinguish the components of the heart note individually; I can only sense a delicate rose and a bit of lilac, but it simply smells wonderfully clean as a whole. This scent evokes the association of a white T-shirt, washed with floral fabric softener, still damp and just hung on the line.
Unfortunately, this pleasure lasts only a very short time. After 2 hours, I feel an urgent need to reapply. The sillage is also only mediocre, which isn't too bad since it means you won't overwhelm anyone or make them feel like they're being wrapped in fabric softener. Overall, I would have expected more from an EdP, but you get 100ml of Natural for relatively little money, so you can certainly reach for the bottle more often.
All in all, Natural is a worthy representative of the clean scent category and is thus a very suitable candidate for the Clean Bear list!

Rose Powder on Fresh Sheets
The various opinions here prompted me to test "Cotton Musc" myself.
So off to the "big M" and I headed straight for the pink plastic (not really pretty). I pulled out the tester and carefully sprayed a spritz on the strip. I was worried I would be overwhelmed by a cloyingly sweet concoction.... but it wasn't like that at all:
A pleasantly soft, powdery vanilla scent wafted into my nose. Sweet, yes, but only subtly sweet so that I could handle it well, as I often find things too sweet!
Okay, this one can go on my arm! And I boldly sprayed three spritzes on myself.
My skin and Cotton Musc seem to get along very well; I smelled somehow like fine body powder mixed with fresh laundry. Nothing cloyingly sweet, nothing piercing! Just a subtle clean scent. I can't detect a direct progression on my skin; the scent smells the same from start to finish, only becoming a touch more vanilla at the end.
I smell:
Musk - yes (of course)
Lilac - well (very, very subtle)
Vanilla - yes (but creamy subtle)
Amber - not really
It does come off a bit artificial, but not unpleasant.
Overall, a lovely clean scent for me and for the price, really great!!!

What takes a long time...
finally turns out well ;-)
In my fabric softener-clean scent-freshly showered manner, I have scoured various forums, always hoping someone would have the ultimate tip regarding fragrance waters for me. Somehow, the same name kept coming up: GLOW
Well then, I have to test it! Off to the Mdrugstore and onto the test strip... Uuuaarrrgghh, what is that? Is that supposed to smell like freshly showered?? Well, I don't know...
Away with the tester, case closed on Glow. Further research on the internet followed... and again and again the name: GLOW
I often caught myself eyeing that pretty, slender bottle with the glitter chain on the bottom shelf in the aforementioned drugstore. In my thoughts: It MUST appeal to me!!!
Bravely pulled out the test strip and sprayed it on generously.
Nooo, well... uh, this isn’t going to work!!
Okay, then not! Unsuccessful - so without the clean scent - out I went.
About 2 weeks later: Alright, now I'm going to ask the friendly employee which fresh-showered scent she can recommend. And what did she pull out??!!! GLOW!
This can't be true, okay, one more test strip full of Glow.
Darn, no trash can around, well, my handbag will do! Again without anything out of the drugstore and off to do some shopping (groceries) - bag stays in the car. Twenty minutes later, shopping done, back in the car and off home!
WAIT A MINUTE...!!! What smells so good here? So fresh-orangey and rosy-soapy. A true fabric softener festival!
No way, right??!! This can't be happening, the wonderful scent was rising directly from my handbag - and what was it? - GLOW
Man, if only I hadn't been so impatient during the first test spray and had given it just a little more time!!!
Long comment, short meaning: Glow and I have finally found each other, and I am so glad about it!!
This mega load of freshly washed laundry/just out of the shower/super clean scent is now a constant companion, and I even have a backup bottle on hand in case the current one runs out faster than expected.

A Big Ice Cream Sundae
Mallorca, Sa Coma.
It’s October and it’s still 24 degrees.
Yesterday we even went swimming in the sea. Wonderful, considering that in "good old Germany" it’s only 8 degrees with constant drizzle now. I just had to escape the constant gray one more time and enjoy the sun for a few more days before winter arrives. The time until next summer is way too long anyway!
Also nice that I can wear my pretty white summer dress one more time this year.
The beach promenade is perfect for relaxing, with many small bars and cafes inviting you to linger. I’m sitting here in an ice cream café, enjoying the sun. In front of me is a big ice cream sundae, filled with four scoops of wonderfully creamy vanilla ice cream. Swirled with lemon syrup and enhanced with small pieces of lemon. Topped with a dollop of whipped cream and decorated with a lemon slice on the rim. mmmhhhhh......
A gentle breeze is blowing from the sea, carrying the scent of the nearby orange trees.
It’s slowly getting a bit cooler here too. Good thing I have my pashmina with me. I snuggle into the scarf and enjoy the sunset.
Next year I’ll come back, for sure! To escape the constant gray for a few days.....
Trussardi Donna is a wonderfully soft yet fresh fragrance. The lemon embraces the vanilla and doesn’t let go. This freshness remains throughout. The scent warms over time with sandalwood and patchouli and, of course, the creamy vanilla. Yet I can still smell the lemony notes.
It had to join my collection after the first sniff and is a welcome guest there, reminding me of vacation, sunshine, and good vibes :-)

I'm thrilled!
I discovered Innocent by chance. I had arranged to meet a colleague for dinner and had some time to spare.
And how can you best pass the time???
By testing perfumes, of course :-)
I've seen Innocent on the shelf several times, but somehow I didn't dare to try it because Angel and Alien weren't really my thing, and I thought this one wouldn't blow me away either. I'm more of a clean scent fan. Well, the bottle is very pretty, so I let it have a go on the test strip first. I had completely lost track of time and, as I walked by, quickly spritzed some on my wrist.
I was surprised by myself, but in the restaurant, I kept sniffing my left arm! My colleague and the people at the surrounding tables looked at me in total amazement :-)
What time is it? - 7:40 PM!
I'll be right back!
So I dashed into the perfume shop at the last second (it was right next to the restaurant) and took it with me!
I just had to have it - immediately!
I've become totally addicted; I have to keep sniffing myself when I wear it.
The fresh opening is somehow a bit green and slightly bitter (the mandarin?).
Shortly after, the sweetness of milk and honey comes through gently and envelops me in a cozy warmth.
When I first wore it, I was invited to a big party, and I have to completely agree with Eternity: It is the ideal party companion! It really lasts forever, and you don't get lost in the crowd with this scent.
