Galbanum and light flowers
You need to love galbanum to like this one. It is a green floral that seems powdery/sopay thanks to galbanum. However, the Legendaires edition smells less powdery than older versions (I am comparing to a 2007 EDT) and it is a tricky perfume: it performs dry and green in chilly dry weather, but as soon as the weather gets warm (around +23) and more wet, the hyacinth comes out and it get more floral and even rosy/waxy. Otherwise the hyacinth is hidden and not showing up, remaining closer to Chanel 19.
Tropical but not gourmand winter scent
I bought it blindly because of some reviews online, and was surprised at the quality. It resembles early 2000's florientals like Dior Addict EDP, without the sickly gourmand notes that have been included in the last years. It smells a lot of tiare and orchid with benzoin, but it is cold and dry, sophisticated and elegant for cold time weather, and evening use. It carries some mystery and has some "dark" qualities. Could be the nighttime or older sister (or mother!) of Givenchy Play for her.
Cozy, elegant, mystic winter floriental
I remember a close friend wore it back in 2010. It was mind blowing to me: so chic, warm, cozy and grown-up. I wasn't ready for it. Fifteen years later I finally can do it in cold weather. It has some mystic quality, that reminds me of hippie stores with nag champa, but it is sweeter, yet more restraint and elegant. The blend is magnificent, it is an awesome perfume for a laughable price.
Ambery freshness
I remember walking after this scent in the 00's. Too bad, I was a teenager and even if it was very affordable, I would not get it. Well, I recently fulfilled the wish and got an opened bottle. This sweet and cozy cedar scent is more ambery sweet leaning than I remember it, but definitely remains quite faithful to my memory. Makes a great bedtime scent and after shower scent. Could be labelled and marketed as some luxury cologne.
Very thick rose and peony, beware
I was so sad that my signature L'eau was discontinued so I grabbed a 100ml size of fleur musk (to finally find a whole sale bottle on ebay of L'eau). Big bottle, big mistake. It will last a life time because you need so little: a ver dense, overwhelming balmy rose with peony and pink pepper. Impossible to wear in warm weather, leave it for cool and cold nights. It is very loud and has a great sillage. Very feminine and quite sweet. I will leave it for postpandemic life. It is just too much now! It is reachable even through the mask.
