Like walking into a tea shop
As I am not much of a floral fragrance person, I did not have high expectations for Marrakesh In A Bottle. I got the discovery set of all the scents in this line because I wanted to be able to get a feel for them. My Sephora did not have them and I don't love blind buying full bottles if I can avoid it.
I am not really detecting much orange blossom at all in this, much more of the rose and bergamot notes. Something about this composition reminds me strongly of incense sticks, or the smell you'd find in a tea shop. While I generally don't enjoy anything rose-scented, as it's too powdery and sweet, in this combination it is actually manageable. Further, because of that incense stick feel it smells nostalgic and kind of comforting to me. Would I buy the full bottle of this? No. The sample size, however, will get used up no problem.
Where's the Strawberry?
Only the top note is a fresh and lovely strawberry but it immediately dries down to a super heavy woody musky note. Not what I was expecting and also not pleasant in my opinion. Glad I only got a travel size to try and I have since sold it
