I only enjoy the dry down of this
I'm a big Kayali fan, but I get mixed feelings about this. The opening comes off soapy and somehow weirdly mixed with a little nuttiness. It's a bit of a reach to describe this as a "pistachio gelato" type of gourmand. Honestly, the dry down of this becomes a creamy cotton candy scent which I LOVE, but some days I don't know if it's worth the wait to get to the dry down.
Very beast mode vanilla
It's not listed in the notes, but I definitely smell licorice (and it's listed in the top notes on the Aroma Concepts website at least). At first, the licorice was way too minty and unblended which threw me off so much that I was initially disappointed. However, after letting it sit for almost 2 weeks, the licorice has toned done tremendously (I can still detect it in the initial spray it but it's fortunately in the background and more blended in). This is a very rich and sweet vanilla but not as dense as something like Kayali Vanilla 28. Since it's such beast mode, I think any more than 3 sprays can become very cloying (I had to learn the hard way because I overspray most of the time). The notes are almost identical to Khadlaj's Cream Velvet, and between the two, I prefer Vanilla Voyage.
Sweet and smooth but performance could be better
I love the butteriness and creaminess of this. Even though it's buttery, it doesn't give popcorn vibes to me which is good. I don't get the licorice note in here at all (whereas I can smell it in Vanilla Voyage). Sometimes it can pull waxy or candle-like to me which lowers my rating a bit. I mainly have gripes with the longevity and sillage. I'm not sure if I'm just going nose blind to it, but it lasts a few hours and turns into a skin scent for me.
If pretty was a scent
Rose notes in perfume tend to give me headaches but this does not. It smells like a fresh, almost watery rose with the fruitiness from the lychee in the background. It is ultra feminine, clean, and non-offensive to wear for any occasion. I never smelled Delina Exclusif, but I've heard other reviewers say they prefer this over the original. It's pretty long-lasting and has good projection, so it's amazing for the price.
This had to grow on me
I love sweet fruity scents, but this had to grow on me because of how the candied sweetness blended with the florals. I can see how this can come off as juvenile, but as someone who exclusively wore sweet and fruity body sprays in middle and high school, this is a more grown-up and modern take on candy-like fruity floral scents. I love how super feminine this smells while not being too childish. I tend to reach for YBM scent profile more, but I sadly go nose blind to it very quickly, so VCRS is a good perfume to let me mix it up a bit while still giving girly and sweet.
