Fresh, briny, and unmistakably marine
My journey with marine fragrances started when I discovered Mine Perfume Lab Salle & Muschio (now called Alleria). That perfume transported me straight to seaside walks, where the air was thick with salt and the bite of seaweed. Ever since, I’ve been fascinated by this genre and had my eyes on Orto Parisi Megamare and its various clones.
Lattafa Atlas proved very difficult to track down, so I turned my attention to Emir’s A Chaos in the Ocean. And I must say — I am very pleased with this purchase from the very first spray.
It opens fresh, briny, and unmistakably marine: seaweed and salt carried on the wind. Exactly the vibe I was chasing. The performance is impressive — the fragrance lasts a long time on skin. The sillage starts out strong, almost forceful, but quickly settles into a more intimate, comfortable “seaside bubble” that follows you throughout the day.
