Scent of the Day

I was trapped in cologne land for several days, but it finally rained. Hurrah! Not that I have anything against a good cologne, mind you...

Today I am wearing the antithesis of a light cologne:

"Central Park West".

Something about the name made me think that this was going to be very different than it is. Perhaps I should have looked more closely at the bottle?

BIG FAT FLORAL PERFUME (not an edt or even an edp!):
major narcissus and gardenia and jasmine!

I do like it--sparingly applied...

Wearing Chanel Coromandel. This is one of my most loved fragrances yet, I wear it so seldomly. At this rate I'll never finish my 200 ml bottle. Actually, I havent even used any out of my bottle. I'm still trying to use up my decants of this fragrance.

FM Portrait of A Lady. This is soooooooo good!!

I've been sniffing through my Lush samples and have been pleasantly surprised. I don't know why exactly, except that when the samples arrived (quite some time ago), I was put off by the fact that one of them had spilled all over--and it happened to be bright red (must have been "Lust").

Anyway, they smell pretty good against all of my negative expectations.

"Gorilla Perfumes"? What is that supposed to mean?

Especially nice are their treatments of jasmine...

Yesterday, I wore "Terre d'Hermes" and at night "Eau d'Hermes" (deliciously skanky).
At the moment I'm wearing "Sycomore".
I might be switching for something else later on...

Dior Homme Sport (2008) today, I love its citrus-ginger note. Very fresh scent without an aqueous note.
I just spayed a bit of Dior Homme Sport (2012) on my forearm. Still the citrus-ginger note but it lacks the biting freshness of the 2008 formulation. Instead I get a smoother freshness if that makes any sense.

Today, it was "Knize Two".

It is a great but somewhat individual fragrance. Sadly, it stands in the shadow of the famous Knize Ten - simply beacause it is lighter.

It is a rather light but anything but bland fougère. It is highly underestimated. Actually, I think it is a coumarin bomb, and it comes as close to the taste of woodruff as a fragrance could possibly come. It can make you feel a little bit queer if you are sensitive towards coumarin.

Today it was Bond Silver Factory. I put it on this morning and it is still going strong. I love this fragrance so much! In my opinion, it is one of Bond's true masterpieces!!

Montale Red Vetyver. But I have to admit that I saw Roberto's post and that reminded me that I have this fragrance and have never worn it. So today was my maiden journey with Red Vetyver and I must admit that its an awesome journey!!! I love Red Vetyver!!!
