Hesitating between Chanel Allure Homme and Blanche Edition

Hesitating between Chanel Allure Homme and Blanche Edition 0

Hi,

I am new here and very inexperienced in perfumes. The only perfume I had for 10 years is https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum..., and I'm looking for a change. So today, I went to the Galeries Lafayette and I mostly tried these 2:

https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum...

https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum...

I couldn't try the Blanche Edition (https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum...) as they did not have it to try. But I would still add it in my selection as it looks close to the base edition.

I am searching for something discreet, that doesn't smell too synthetic. I don't want my perfume to stay for too long in a room. I would also like something that I can wear all year round (though I rarely put perfume in winter).
That is why I didn't really like https://www.parfumo.com/Perfum.... I found it too strong. I would like to ask confirmation on this, but I think it would be safe to exclude the sports versions from my selection.

So that lefts me with the base Allure Homme and the Blanche Edition. I would like to ask recommendations on both.

I have read that a lot of people say that both have poor longevity. I would say I am looking for a longevity of around 9-10h, my typical work day. What do you think of them ?

I have also read that they are more suited for spring/summer, especially the Blanche Edition. I am looking for something more versatile. What do you think on this ?

Do you think these downsides makes them not suitable for what I am looking for, or are they still worth considering ?

Do you have other recommendations that are near those ones (Discreetness is my number 1 criteria) ?

Thanks in advance for any answer, have a nice day !

Base Allure is more classical and discrete.

For performance, you only need to try them, because performance depends mainly on skin. You can also spray on your clothes.

Chanel Allure Homme without any doubt.

I haven't tried either; only tried the sport versions. But, I agree with Aldest and DrPepe - you'd be better off going with Chanel Allure Homme. I'd go back to the shop where you tried it and spray once on each wrist and once on each side of your neck and then see how long it lasts for you. I'm skeptical that you'd get 9 to 10 hours out of it, but you won't know for sure until you test it. Also, as Aldest said, fragrances usually last longer if sprayed on clothes - if that's an option for you. Instead of spraying your skin, you could spray your shirt and see if that lasts longer. Spraying clothes isn't a problem if you are sticking with one perfume and if it doesn't stain clothing.
