Put in an order for 10 samples of soliflores and had zero communication after the initial confirmation. 

"your order will ship out in the next three to five days and a shipment confirmation with tracking will be sent to you at that time."

When the time frame passed I reached out for an update. Crickets. Gave it a few more days and one more email attempt. After 14 days, I had to bite the bullet and ask my credit card to reverse the charge.

I like the idea of supporting indy perfumers, but this experience has me feeling nervous about ordering directly from them instead of distributors/boutiques/businesses. (My only other experience was with Kai, whose samples came quite speedily!)

Interesting. I wonder how Dame Perfumery (https://dameperfumery.com/) is related to the Jeffery Dame web store (https://jeffreydame.com/). I ordered two samples from the latter without a hitch and plan to order two full bottles eventually and additional samples. Too bad you had that experience.

The trouble with these small operations is that the web site is automated and accepts orders and sends out confirmations even if something has happened behind the scenes to prevent fulfillment. Could be swamped with orders, a production problem or personal illness. Can't tell.

I do believe it is the same Perfumer for both sites! 

I was thinking there might have been some behind the scenes issue, but I really wished there would have been some sort of communication, especially since I reached out more than once and gave them a pretty big grace period to, you know, do something. "Hey, we're out of these, you good with just these? Ok with waiting another week?" Etc.

Congrats on finding yourself some new additions to your collection!

Yeah, I’d never order again. I did only order two samples- so figured it probably wasn’t a priority to fill and ship my order.

Not great at communicating. I did email/follow up- I think several times and the last correspondence I asked if I needed to just cancel my order. (Out of stock?)

I think it took about two months and several emails before my order shipped. 
Then, I wasn’t impressed with the scents anyway. 

I’m good.  I’ve tried several other Dame original scents as well- don’t care for them. I wish he’d just do the Madeleine de Madeline. I could go for that.

Two months?! Your tolerance for nonsense is crazy high. 😆
