Do you ever have the feeling your collection is 'complete'?

... Yes, and I feel 100% certain about, every few years. It’s just the feeling you described. I can’t image that a new, or new to me, perfume can possible please me as much as something I already have. I still love to read about perfume, and sometimes test. Yet, I’m there again. I think there is no reason to buy anything besides replacements or backups (for discontinued) of favorites.

What perfume have you finished recently?

... Finished off 3 bottles: Dior Poison *edc* (bought as a partial) LAP Verte Violette Hové Tea Olive cologne All are favorites and I’d recommend them all. I have backups for the Verte Violette and Poison (both are discontinued) , and an almost full bottle of the Tea Olive in parfum concentration.

Dame Perfumery Broke My Heart 💔

... Yeah, I’d never order again. I did only order two samples- so figured it probably wasn’t a priority to fill and ship my order. Not great at communicating. I did email/follow up- I think several times and the last correspondence I asked if I needed to just cancel my order. (Out of stock?) I think it took about two months and several emails before my order shipped. Then, I wasn’t impressed with the scents anyway. I’m good. I’ve tried several other Dame original scents as well- don’t care for them. I wish he’d just do the Madeleine de Madeline. I could go for that.

Which bodyproducts smell gorgeous to you?

... Pink/Rosa Dove bar. I have noticed differences depending on from where it’s imported (to America). The ones from Mexico smelling noticeably more of just rose water. The one from Canada or Germany smelling more of a creamier bouquet, with roses. I prefer the latter. The closest perfume I’ve found is Camille (Beckman). The other is Neutrogena body oil, the original. I don’t know if it’s made anymore. It was a pure orange blossom scent. Loved the smell, but it broke me out. Luckily, there are several perfumes that recreate that aroma.

... A couple absolute favorites come to mind- Verte Violette. I was hunting for a very green voilette specifically when I first sampled. Didn’t find it green or bitter enough. Later, bored and just retrying samples, realized what a lovely scent it was in its own right. Quelques Fleurs l’original. This didn’t take month or years- more like 10 minutes. First spray, I was taken aback and annoyed. Way too strong, sharp, “perfumey”. On my skin, 10 minutes later and my nose was glued to my wrist.

... L’Artisan Fleur d’Oranger. It was always limited edition, but at the time I didn’t know how much I’d come to love orange flower. Since then, I’ve bought many neroli/orange blossom perfumes, but that one was perfection.

... DieNase You may try "Azurēe | Estēe Lauder" as well. I find it less green though. And it is a hairy chest kind of perfume although it is marketed to women. Less green but definitely has an herbal accord that could fit the bill. Not modern, and haven’t smelled Derby, but I suggest Aramis Devin. Have you tried Quorum? Might like it. Also, the modern edp of Cabochard is greener than past variations I’ve had.

Guess it cut through everything. -“Oh, I didn’t smell it at first, then got a whiff when you walked by. You smell so good.” Female coworker “That’s a really nice fragrance you have on. What’s that?” Male coworker “Anybody notice it always smells really good in that part of the office? I like going over there.” Male coworker. BR540 edp and extrait. I’ve worn both. -“Just enjoying your perfume..” After greeting him (“How are you?”), walking a couple feet behind me. I apologized, “It’s a little loud”. He says, “No. it’s really wonderful.” Estee PFS (“pineapple” bottle)

... I feel like my favorite keep getting discontinued x it has started to give me a complex at this point. Discontinued : Verte Violette Jour de Fête Bucoliques de Provence Mimosa pour Moi Summer Hill Lauren Luxe Champaca edt In the Sun body mist In production (great sale): Quelques Fleurs L’Original Premier Figuier edt Efflor_esce Anaïs Anaïs Kinda?: Esteé Technically in production but reformulated. I’ve tested the new formulation twice now, and it’s just not the same. Recently picked up a bottle of the edp in “pineapple” bottle. Nearly finished with bottle of the Pure Fragrance and Super Cologne sprays. I told myself I’d enjoy them and move on. Then, I pulled out the PFS this Winter, remembered why it’s a favorite, and broke. Had to hunt down one more bottle.
