Is L'Artisan Parfumeur cancelling part of their line? 0

I was hoping to sample some L'Artisan Parfumeur fragrances today and I couldn't find them anywhere in Osaka. One assistant told me the brand has been completely pulled out of Japan and they'll no longer be available anywhere in Asia. She said that a lot of their current products are very likely to be discontinued soon. Does anyone know anything about this?

@Raluko111 this brand has been bought by PUIG which I understand is a huge group and they are closing the shops simply because they're going to re-,pack, change bottle design etc. Do not worry the big hits of the brand will be maintained. And probably they have been working on new releases .

L'Artisan Parfumeure has been changing its retail plans many times these last years. I am surprised they are leaving Japan (and Asia) which is a great market for fragrances.

The bottle design has been changed for years and here in Europe 2024/2025 is all about home fragrances. They seem to be back to department stores, hand in hand with Penhaligon's.

Thanks. Most of the information I get in Japanese is vague. They say they will move to online, but the selection is pretty limited and through second-hand dealers I don't trust. I got suspicious when they were missing from duty-free shops, too.

Not so surprising, really. The currency value here has dropped, the economy sucks, so people are probably pulling back from luxury shopping.
