...Forgive me if there's already a thread like this- I didn't see one.When posting a scent of the day, I enjoy associating it with a piece of art that evokes the same feeling. Today was "Erawan | Dusita" - green, golden hay and gentle vanilla haze. To me it feels like this painting by artist Noah Schneiderman:What does your SOTD look like?

I'm testing a teeny decant and just noted my 1st impressions..But today I wanted something sweet & juicy and went with an oldie Jimmy Choo Eau de Parfum for the fresh, juicy pear/floral/fruchouli-ness. I adore Erawan- probably my favorite from the whole house. The opening is a fresh green smack in the nose compared to the mid and drydown, which becomes just the most lovely fluffy cloud of golden hay and vanilla- albiet close to the skin. I find it very comforting.

...Hello! I'm hoping to get some recommendations on chypres that don't have an astringent or soapy harshness to them. I realize it's likely the new standard oakmoss and aldehydes, but for some reason I'm ok with it in fougeres. Modern chypres are incredibly varied and perhaps some don't feel so sharp- do you have any you particularly enjoy that don't wind up smelling like Necco wafers?

...Amouage Opus VII is one of the darkest scents I've smelled. It's the perfume. equivalent to vantablack.
