Warm-blooded animals
I had read somewhere that this fragrance was to be discontinued. Oh shock, I had wanted to try it for a long time, so hurry hurry hurry - where to get it from - have a look, maybe you can buy it cheaply.

Oh guys, I wanted to cut down, otherwise I'll have to lug around so many fragrance bottles when I move house. I'm already dreading having to clear out the house.

So here it is, the fragrance of my desire. It had to warm up a little, we're already experiencing almost arctic temperatures, last night it was -2°, all the leaves have finally fallen from the trees, but the fog just won't lift. Most of the time the sun has disappeared into other climes, but people want summer elsewhere too, don't they? But I'm already digressing again.

Perhaps also because I can't really describe the scent.

It is a single, or rather, a multi-layered floral symphony.
The flowers are skillfully blended with the spices and form a warm-scented whole.

The lilac heart competes with hyacinth, the rose flirts with orange blossom, jasmine is always a beautiful partner and, thanks to the presence of opoponax, I find ambergris delicately warm and beautiful, not heavy but light and almost transparent.
Chaldeé has modern chic and at the same time it seems like a vintage fragrance, a colorful, well-tempered, distinctly floral-spicy fragrance.

If the full splendor only unfolds in the sun, I'll probably have to wait, as winter hasn't even started yet.
But I think the fragrance has caught the sun and now lets it shine. - Where, right here, on my skin - AND: in my heart.

inherited charm of the very late Art Nouveau style
Jean Patou always succeeds in remaining true to the line with "new editions" or fragrances adapted in time.
Here nothing is compulsively adapted to any fashions; here is very fine-tuned until the new whole meets the demands of the customers and also its own name.
Joy forever" alone, the younger, more lively and also lighter sister of the legendary "Joy" (who doesn't know it!), is a good example.
It does not deny its "lineage" and is nevertheless a completely independent "family member".

ALzD calls the Jean Patous Collection Héritage "a precious secret".
Great scents from the past are reissued more or less "one to one"; perhaps a little bit ground and polished; but they are never robbed of their elegance and charm!
In this noble collection every fragrance can remain its own: live its personality.

Chaldée" from this series is no exception; it takes us back to a past in which sensual women are paid homage through fashion and perfumes. There is nothing with "Unisex"! Here woman is woman completely woman!
Like its predecessor from 1927, this modern "Chaldée" with bergamot and sun-ripened orange also opens. There is also a hint of rose and underlines a certain mature femininity.
Delicate spring flowers such as daffodil, jasmine and lilac are flavoured here with a hint of clove and even less nutmeg.
(At least that's what my nose tells me! Whether it is true, remains the secret of the house Jean Patou.)
Jasmin also enters the stage - which Jean Patou scent gets along without Jasmin? It is simply a "must" here!
Amber, in shining gold facets, and Opoponax, also called "Resin of Venus" (I love this term: connects it with the goddess of love!), form the climax of a "sexy and restrained erotic" scent.
I quote here deliberately from the statement of 0815abc; not because I can't formulate it myself, but because I like it so much and it seems very appropriate.
So please forgive this plagiarism, my dear!

The durability is appropriate for such an opulent fragrance; it takes a long time until only a light, noble touch remains.
"Chaldée" is a fragrance that accompanies a whole evening charmingly and elegantly.
A subsequent spraying is unnecessary here; it would only disturb, i.e. confuse, the cleverly conceived scent.
So one should perhaps give the smell development its own sense of time here, without sparking in between.
A painting or a concert is only finished with the last brushstroke or the last note: why should this not apply to a perfume?
With "Chaldée" from the Héritage Collection I feel that this is the case; I have too much respect for the scent creators to intervene in their work.

With this generous bottling something sunny shining with inherited charm came into my fragrance world.
I thank you very much and will certainly appreciate this noble beauty!
She deserved it!
