Game of Spades Boston Jo Milano

I purchased this last year blind, along with Game of Spades Wildcard. I've been pleased by Wildcard, and just AMAZED by this. The juice is just amazing: fresh, pineapple/fruity, aromatic, with a slight woodsy and green nuance. The scent is highly versatile, can be dressed up or down, with solid project and longevity, that's noticeable and constant without being loud and obnoxious. I've received a compliment or inquiry every time I've worn this in public

The Aventus associations don't make sense beyond the fruity/pineapple accord. However, where the comparisons are accurate: the versatility of the fragrances, signature scent worthiness and compliment factor.

I eventually smelled Bond No 9 Scent of Peace for Him at Neiman, and can certify, at least based on top notes in a tester strip, Boston is 95% similar with no clear differences (The same for Lafayette St and Wildcard). Therefore, this is an even more exceptional value for the money.

Una piña bien dulce y cautivante, diferente a la del ADN Aventus, la bergamota lo hace cítrico y fresco, pero el enebro la acompaña en casi toda la duración, creando la sensación de que estás en un bosque de pino cerca de un río y te llega una brisa frutal fresca de piña y limones dulces. A esta parte le pongo un 8.5/10

Transcurridas unas 4 horas, el enebro y la bergamota pierden protagonismo, para darle paso a las grosellas, haciendo del aroma uno mucho más agradable para mí, parecido al de una mermelada de mora con un poco de piña. 9.5/10

El secado es increíblemente adictivo, aparece el cedro y agarra este corazón amermelado y lo transforma en uno de los perfumes más sensuales que he olido. 10/10

Duración: 12 horas y eterno en la ropa.
Estela: 4 horas
Botella: Pesada y de textura gomosa. Provoca un agarre seguro.
Atomizador: Presurizado y de nube gigante.

Boston: 9.5

PD: Probé Blue Sky de Armaf, y es súper parecido excepto porque no tiene el olor a pino (enebro). Es más frutal y seguramente más disfrutable por jovenes. Para mí es un excelente perfume aunque pierde magia y misterio al quitarle el "bosque".

… but honestly, it didn’t live up to the expectations that that hype created for me.

Honestly if you’re going to say it’s a clone of The Scent Of Peace, I’d say MAYBE in the drydown. And that’s a HUGE maybe.

The opening is sweet, and it’s nothing like TSOP. It’s not bad by any means, just don’t expect a clone.

As its own scent, I will say it’s got an easy to wear vibe, that works in any season. The silage bubble starts with a 3ft+ radius, then it dials itself back to 2ft by the 4 hour mark. Longevity is solid though. Easily eclipsing 8 hours.

Will I use it? Yes. Is it a good quality scent? Yes.

There is an entire line of Game Of Spades fragrances out as we speak, and this is the only one I’ve tried. I’m just going to remember that people said this one was “inspired by” TSOP, and wasn’t even close before I grab anything else by them.

Again, as its own scent, it’s not bad at all. Works fine. It just isn’t what people are hyping it up as.

After it macerates and matures for a months or two, I’ll give it another shot. If there’s a change, I’ll log it here.

If it’s Bond No 9 clones you’re looking for, give the Metropolis/Emper brand a look; I have their Bleecker Street Clone (named “The Scent Of Karol”), and it is a banger in all aspects, and it’s cheap.
