Not bad...

The 5th door in the Advent calendar: not bad. It is very creamy, velvety, sweet. Very pleasant. Nothing revolutionary, nothing you haven't smelled somewhere before, but sometimes you don't necessarily have to. Pafory himself classifies it as woody/spicy. I find that somewhat misleading.
I won't be buying it, I already have enough similar fragrances in my collection.

Velvet in the truest sense of the word: warm, soft, close to the skin.

The nose is ready for testing. I carefully spray the fragrance onto my wrist.

"Mm, - says the nose, - nice and pretty...a little louder please"

I spray again, more generously. The nose listens. "Yes, better," she says, "I can detect the beautiful woods, and the warmth of the vanilla orchid, and maybe I smell something leathery, but I'm not sure... Could it be a little louder please?".

I spray a cloud of scent around me. Three times. The soft velvet envelops me, so smooth, so beautiful. Well, dear nose, is that enough now?
"Hmm, - ponders the nose, - Yup. So it's all right for me. Something really leathery in it... Maybe that's how the incense affects me? Yes, I love it. But the noses of others? I have a feeling that no matter how much you spray, no other nose will smell it. Is this a special fragrance for introverts?"

I suggest you keep the sample for now and test it again in the summer. Maybe then it will work with a little more sillage?

The nose agrees: it loves the fragrance and would like other noses to be able to smell it too.

Unfortunately, there is just as much room for improvement in terms of longevity as sillage. Too bad.

Parfory door 5: Velvety absolute, unfortunately it is not a crush

We are getting better. I didn't know the brand and the fragrance, but it's quite beautiful, velvety, creamy as the name suggests, unfortunately it won't be a crush for me, as it's not my favorite DNA, too sweet. Gris Charnel and the Guerlain...sorry, I don't recognize any similarities. The vanilla orchid is too strong for me at the beginning, but then recedes and makes way for the incense resin. The woodiness could be a little more prominent for me as the "grounding" of the fragrance, but overall I like it. It's not a candidate for me to buy, but it's a pleasant and beautiful fragrance suitable for the season, even one that you can wear on all occasions.
