Here belongs a comment from me!
Why a comment from me belongs here:
Because this was my very first fragrance. I was 12, my mother gifted it to me, and it accompanied me for many years. With it, I fell in love for the first time (and the second and third times too), got my first pimples, increasingly neglected my panda teddy "Tao Tao", listened to and sang along to Madonna's Like-a-Prayer album, teased my hair, wore gummy bear earrings, drew Ottifanten, and received my first 4 in math (the beginning of a steep career). I had Adidas Woman EdP, EdT, shower gel, and body lotion.
Why my mother chose this fragrance for me:
It smells refreshing and clean, aquatic, sporty, active, life-affirming, the beginning of life, innocent, not sweet. It has punch in the sillage and in the longevity, as is typical for 80s fragrances. It has quality. It has character. But I might be biased. But damn, it REALLY has character! Delicate water fruits, a bit synthetic, light cedar, modest violet - that's how you wish for your child: clean and quiet. Well, I only smelled like that, as if ;o) My mother chose it well, because it exudes zero eroticism, and I find that quite important for a fragrance for a 12-year-old and feel sustainably protected.
Why I have it in my collection again today, 25 years later:
Aggeliki had it in the souk. When she found out that this was my first fragrance, she even gifted it to me, which really touched me! I still knew what it was like, but when I smelled it for the first time after a quarter of a century (!), whole worlds reappeared. You know how it is. Fragrances are memory storage, and what memories they are!
Why I no longer wear it:
Because I now know why I had so many headaches as a child: From Adidas Woman! Back then, I actually preferred the sweet "Joop! Le Bain," which my mother always used.
