Christmassy
Thanks to Tarata, I was able to test another Aftelier fragrance, but in the cream variant, which makes my assessment a bit more difficult.
Since no notes are listed above, I first went on a search for them. Sündhaft indicates the following:
Black pepper, bitter orange, rose, jasmine, vanilla, amber.
Well, I would have guessed incense as well, since the fragrance somehow smells like it in the top notes.
Compared to the cream fragrances I have tested from Pacifica, this one is on a completely different level, more long-lasting, and has a scent development.
Due to the aforementioned incense note, combined with orange and pepper, the top note reminds me a lot of Christmas.
With the heart note, the flowers join in. Here, I perceive the rose more, while the jasmine remains subtly in the background. The Christmassy impression then fades more and more.
The base is then unremarkably creamy-sweet.
What I would be interested in is whether a fragrance in liquid form develops differently than a cream perfume? Maybe someone has already had this experience and can share it with me. For my perfume behavior, cream perfumes are simply unsuitable, that I know now.
Tarata, thank you very much for the wonderful fragrance selection and the olfactory broadening of horizons.
