Hiking in the Rockies
This is an amazing walk in the woods of the Colorado Rockies. At first there is a sweet woodiness to it, reminiscent of fresh maple syrup, but that fades away to an almost incense-like walk in the woods as you smell Spruce, Oak, Cedar, Fir, Cade, Pine and Balsam. Hints of bright Immortelle dance around the fringes of the scent.

Absolutely stunning!

Sun-Drenched Stroll by the Forested Lake
When I enter Colorado into the search engine in combination with flora and fauna, I get images of desert landscapes, cacti sunk in dust and time, and see badlands. Desolation, for eons - like stardust. But the perfume Colorado does not smell like that at all. Colorado, now referring to the state, is geographically diverse. The underlying creation smells more like the forestation at Grand Lake. Idyllic, majestic, reminiscent of home.

Starting with a resinous note, touches of lovage, strange yet familiar. The olfactory tour may begin. Dry, not like the desert but sun-kissed. The yellow pine is bathed in hot sun rays, Aton's breath. But it would be simplistic - and wrong - to claim that Colorado offers only this wood. Just as in the forest, where the Ponderosa pine is accompanied by other woods, the scent reveals the presence of cedar, and for me, a hint of sandalwood is evoked.
But initially, the hesperidia take over; the nose clearly perceives the lemon, absorbing dull-citrusy notes, delighting in lemony facets. These are interwoven with green nuances, which have been wonderfully balanced here. This gives the dry-woody aura a noble note, Noblesse oblige.

Cedar like pencils, enveloped in a crust of tree suspensions, dominate at times, creating this sandalwood mirage, temporarily compressing Colorado to resin and bark, establishing this continuous aura, this scent nucleus. Wandering through forests, in the warm air, shimmering wood particles, almost dried resin dripped down, now lingers on the bark, sending contemplative signals; idyll in the here and now.

Colorado is a scent for the stoic. The pursuit of wisdom through ataraxia and equanimity, the realization of one's role in the holistic cosmos, pondering the last metaphysical questions - the scent opens very slowly, requiring intense olfactory contemplation. Woody perfumes possess a calming, subtle quality for me, especially when I perceive the unruffled scent of cedars. Even though stoic philosophy could easily believe in providence and the eternal cycle due to the then-conception of aether and demise, allowing for calmness, which is difficult for us with our current knowledge: Colorado evokes tranquility and harmony through its dry-intensive resin and the numerous woods, gently placing us in this state of mind, in accepting strict causality. The rule here, by the way, is: spray the scent, then comes the enjoyment.

Sweet pine and dry air. It starts honeyed and evolves into something fresher and cooler. Hits of pine on a rugged cliff.

Bergamot opening, immortelle and dark bitter resin at the heart, subtly smoky balsamic notes, dried herbs: exquisite!

The first phase succeeds with fresh citrus fruits and resinous forest.
It gets quite spicy.
And then unfortunately dull and musty.

Difficult! After a citrus start, it becomes bitter-spicy and somehow rubbery. It's strange and not really wearable for me.
