Balanced combination of fresh, creamy, and spicy-woody notes

The Eau de Parfum In Red by Armand Basi has been catching my eye for almost a year while browsing the internet. The fragrance notes and presentation of the perfume fit very well into my preferences.
The scent is also affordable, and when it's on sale, it's really inexpensive.
I finally ordered the fragrance as a blind buy, as the opinions here have been very positive. I would like to thank the three perfumistas who have already described this scent here. Without you, I would have missed out on a very fine, special, and yet always wearable fragrance.
Now to the scent: In Red starts off very fresh and zesty. Bergamot and mandarin open the top notes, soon joined by ginger and cardamom. I like ginger in fragrances, and the cardamom adds a special, slightly oriental touch.
After about 5 to 10 minutes, I perceive the scent as creamy. The flowers, especially the rose, make themselves known in a creamy-soft manner. Ginger and cardamom remain constant in the background. Nothing disturbs, nothing scratches. In the base, the fragrance becomes softer and creamier, but retains a slight freshness until the end.
A beautifully crafted scent for me with medium longevity (4-5 hours) and rather subtle sillage. Suitable for everyday wear and also appropriate for work.

Fresh-warm Veil

OmG! What a great scent!
Years ago, I received In Red as an EDT from my mother, a souvenir from Spain. I liked it well enough, but I found the scent a bit too light for my personal taste.

Anyway, in the last few days, I was looking for a new spring fragrance, but I was quite disappointed with the current releases in the usual perfumeries. Either boring or overly sweet, synthetic slush. Nothing appealed to me, so back to the roots... I thought of In Red and lo and behold - there’s also an EDP! Ordered, four days later in my hands, and the new spring scent can accompany me.
In Red by Armand Basi is fresh, juicy, and invigorating, not sporty, but feminine, and certainly elegant. Dominant is probably ginger (but it’s not listed at the top...!?), but I also smell something delicate, definitely jasmine. Plus, there’s a gentle fruitiness, slightly orangey, not too sweet, but nothing is harsh or annoying here. After a few minutes, a warm, fresh-fruity veil envelops the skin, much to the delight of those around me.
The longevity is okay, about 5 hours on me, longer on clothing. The sillage is perfect for everyday and work, no one will feel disturbed, yet the longed-for hint remains when passing by, positively noticeable to others.

It’s just a pity that In Red is hardly available in local stores, but online it’s easy to find. And the price is in a reasonable range.

I am very happy about this - well-known - rediscovery!

Armand Basi - a unique scent journey

This unique fragrance has accompanied me for 10 years every autumn to spring. I discovered it in a small perfumery after a cosmetic treatment - no, it discovered me... A beautician with her little fine shop showed me some special scents that are not sold everywhere. She sprayed me with this wonderful fragrance and I immediately found myself in an oriental market... I sniffed cardamom with citrus nuances - great blend - not too heavy - simply successful - fresh and spicy - and the wonderful rose scent from the flower stand next door joined in... not dominating - just delicate - jasmine blossoms were blown by the wind. I then rested in the shade of the trees - enjoyed the view over the market and breathed in fresh woods and damp moss - all of this is Armand Basi! I treated myself to the great red 100ml bottle and went back to the hotel. Here I was approached multiple times by different gentlemen and ladies about this scent - a complete success - it enchanted everyone. Something special that, thank God, never found its way into conventional perfumeries and for me always the scent that I never revealed. Only here among the true lovers of fragrances - I sell a bottle of Eau de Parfum in the souk.
