Lemon in Spring Water
Well, what's going on here? No comments, and currently, I'm the only one who owns this fragrance? Well, then I'll just write the comment for myself. :))
That's fine, because I've always wanted to clarify my thoughts about this scent!
Speaking of clarity: Every time I spray this fragrance, I have the association of lemons in spring water. The scent gives a pleasant feeling of freshness and cleanliness and almost has the character of a cologne, albeit with better longevity.
It is fresh-spicy-woody and has nothing to do with its name, because anyone thinking of something aquatic, for example, is mistaken - just like I was at first.
The top note starts very fresh and invigorating, and with the coriander and mandarin, it has a subtly sour and green quality. It is a very pleasant and rounded top note.
The heart note is slightly spicier due to the pepper, but the fresh impression remains. A light hint of lotus beautifully rounds things off.
In the base note, you can notice the woody notes, and there is also a slight veil of patchouli present.
In Blue, the pyramid works very nicely and meets expectations. The transitions are fluid; nothing stumbles or clatters here.
In Blue is therefore more than a solid and good work of a perfumer, even if it may not be great perfume art. It is a very good everyday and leisure scent and more than suitable for the office, as it is never intrusive. However, for me, it is not an evening fragrance, although I don't want to completely deny it elegance.
I am surprised that it leads such a shadowy existence in the community, as there are so many bad fragrances that receive more attention. The predecessors Armand Basi Homme and Basi Homme have already been commented on and did not fare so badly.
I don't want to make a secret tip here, but perhaps I would like to recommend a candidate to those who sometimes enjoy fresh-spicy-woody scents - just like I do - because In Blue definitely deserves a test. Those who already have their autumn and winter fragrances can start looking for their next spring and summer scent. 100 ml can already be found for under 30 euros.
