After my return to the world of fragrances (I was absent for about 30 years), I tried to remember which scent notes I used to like and what I enjoyed wearing back then: floral, not too sweet.

My favorite fragrance in the 80s was Paris by YSL. No idea if I still like the reformulated scent as much. It wasn't the right time for a visit to the perfumery, and I didn't want to spend that much money on an online purchase. So I browsed a bit here and on various retailer sites and decided on two bottles as blind buys based on the descriptions and reviews, one of which was Andaleeb Flora by Lattafa.

When the package arrived, I was quite surprised: Wow, the bottle is heavy! And pretty, very high quality. Then I took off the cap and sprayed it: very floral, very cheerful, a scent that surrounds the wearer with positive vibes. I could imagine wearing it to a summer wedding where I am invited as a guest.

I can't pick out individual scent notes; as I said: I mainly smell lemony flowers, not too sweet, fresh and lively. The woods that come out later prevent the scent from becoming too one-dimensional. Definitely a women's fragrance, unfortunately without a strong recognition effect. Longevity and sillage were quite good the few times I wore it-not overwhelming, but okay.

I probably wouldn't buy Andaleeb Flora again-although the scent is quite close to what I was actually looking for. Unfortunately, it is not a candidate for a signature scent for me. But for the affordable price, Andaleeb (which translates to "Nightingale") Flora is definitely a nice addition to my mini collection. In spring, when it gets warmer, I’m sure it will be used more often again.

I once again did a "blind" swap, as I often do, because the fragrance pyramid let my "inner nose" sniff around. And it was not disappointed. On the contrary - I received a very powdery, only slightly sweet "classic".
I am first greeted by fresh and simultaneously sunny-warm citrus fruits. And I could swear that there is also a hint of cool freesia in there. WHAT exactly creates the "powder" I cannot determine, but it is not so important, as it represents a great characteristic of the fragrance. Not "baby powder", but something "tactile" in a slightly rough way. It is present throughout the entire development, which now reveals a floral aspect. Roses and jasmine honor us. And they mingle casually-elegantly with the top note. It remains fresh-floral for a long time - yet more and more earthy-woody scents push through. Flanked by a bit of musk. Vetiver, sandalwood, cedar, and patchouli make themselves known!
Now memories of another beautiful fragrance come to light, which, to my knowledge, has unfortunately been discontinued: Amarige Eau de Toilette, which also has a similar development that "triggers" the nose... these rugged-fine sweet powders with the flowers and earthy woods, that slightly sour freshness. The "head" that touches the "base" ... and the quirky floral ensemble in the heart... And yet this purple Asdaaf with the "pearl gem" is an independent perfume. A fine "classic" surprise! ;-))

It is hard to find really informative details about this scent. So it was once again a blind buy. I thought it wouldn't hurt too much for the price, so here we go.

oriental, fruit, sandalwood

Well, I don't smell any of those notes. It also doesn't smell strongly of floral notes as the name might suggest. This scent is really hard for me to describe. However, it does seem familiar to me, but I can't quite say what it reminds me of.
For me, it is definitely very sweet and very feminine. I can't imagine it on a man. There are very slight soapy aspects.
So I would describe it as very sweet with floral (but I couldn't say which) and soapy touches.

ADDENDUM: Recognized it in the shower. It smells exactly like the green shower oil from Rituals. I think it's called Jing.
