Andaleeb Asdaaf

Orange, jasmine and patchouli. These are the three notes that seem to ride the citrus white floral wave of Andaleeb.
The opening is sharp- a very juicy and sweet mandarin orange note hyped up by distinct patchouli (not earthy, just sharp). Once the florals- a predominant jasmine and side-kick pink rose come into the picture, the patchouli dies down a bit and an orange-white floral combination sets in. On clothing this forms the dry down, while on skin a sandalwood note makes an appearance. If there is vetiver, I do not sense it.

When you look at the bottle, you think, oh nice, finally a dupe for Scandal.
If they tried to clone Scandal here, they definitely failed.
Yes, it is sweet like Scandal, but it goes in a completely different direction.
This one has no honey at all, instead it has a very sweet mandarin that you don't find in Scandal.
So it's very fruity and sweet, almost like a sweet yogurt with lemon, mandarin, and orange.
And all three of these fruits are very sweet and juicy.
But still, the scent manages to be a bit fresh even though it's sweet.
That also distinguishes it from Scandal, as there is nothing fresh in Scandal.
The perfume is definitely very feminine; men could probably wear it too, but they would have to love it very fruity and feminine.

It all started with an additional gift from a lovely Soukerin here on Parfumo.
I was neither familiar with "Andaleeb | Asdaaf," nor would I have found it particularly exciting based on the fragrance pyramid. Thank goodness our paths crossed anyway, because I would have missed out on a lot. Often, one has to be "forced" into happiness.

Now to the scent:
The opening starts off very intensely for me with a juicy/sweet, typically yellow pear. There’s also a hint of spice floating around. A variety of bright, spring-like flowers as well as jasmine make their appearance as the fragrance develops. The balanced and slightly bitter caramel note brings the necessary twist that adds a certain excitement. Finally, sandalwood joins in and hints at a delicate creaminess. The scent is very harmonious and well-balanced and definitely deserves more attention. Those who enjoy these little freshly baked tarts with caramelized pears and whipped cream will love this fragrance.
Primarily, Andaleeb leans towards an everyday scent that is perfect for spring. Its extremely feminine bouquet makes the fragrance feel very womanly, enchanting, and comforting. It is simply beautiful through and through!
Sillage and longevity also perform above average. I feel like I can perceive the scent on me forever.

Andaleeb simply brings me pure joy.

A reminder of??? Whatever, nothing modern - more vintage. Maybe I'll figure it out, maybe I won't.
Anyway, it is an oriental-tinged, not too sweet "powder scent," which, alongside the freshness of the citrus fruits, has beautiful floral notes. Underneath, sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli are already prepared, waiting in the depths for their full deployment. They don't suddenly burst forth but rather sneak in quietly. First, a subtle hint, gradually intensifying to form a solid contrast to the other scents. Woody, earthy, slightly powdery - long-lasting. No "rigidly defined fragrance pyramid" can be sniffed. Everything shifts with everything, permeates each other, and is almost tactile, but above all "alive"! Now it has matured well; when it was new, I could recognize far fewer facets than I can now.
Good things take time, after all :-))

I know that Lattafa is inspired by other perfumes. And that this bottle resembles the JPG Scandal. But the scents smell just too different. I didn't want to buy it as a dupe, but because I liked the bottle so much and the scent was also very nice. I actually don't like the Scandal at all.
So now to my title. I have so many perfume samples rolling around at home that I grabbed one today and sprayed it... I know this scent... so a comparison is needed. Yes, the Asdaf smells very, very similar. The sample was Scandal by Night. So it is indeed a dupe. Just not for the regular Scandal but for Scandal by Night. Now I also understand the similarity of the bottles. Anyone who likes this flanker should definitely test it; the price-performance ratio here is unbeatable.
