The Scent of the Dreamers
Bohème freedom. That’s the translation of the fragrance name. Bohème is a culture or subculture, a lifestyle mainly led by artists such as writers, painters, sculptors, etc., but also by students. According to Wikipedia, it is characterized primarily by non- or anti-bourgeois behavior, which is probably a euphemistic term for asocial behavior that one does not want to describe directly :DD.

No, it’s much more about self-discovery, about a lifestyle outside societal norms, and about creative freedom, as otherwise, adhering to certain "bourgeois values" would feel restrictive. I am very passionate about art myself and can relate to this; however, I am also sure that quite a few "citizens" consider the art-loving free spirits as "dreamers" :D

Well, I can't necessarily connect with every form of art... just think of the artist Piero Manzoni, who once sold his bodily excretions packaged in cans, or Wim Delvoye, who built a machine that simulates the human digestive tract and produces visually accurate feces, which are then packaged and sold as art (with the fitting name "cloaca")... well... that’s new and certainly interesting for some, but as I said, it’s not really my thing...

Be that as it may, this fragrance is probably dedicated to all those "dreamers," so let’s see how it smells :D

The Scent:
For a brief moment, the opening reminds me of the dressing of a salad. I smell a bit of tomato, a little more of basil, and general salad herbs (could this be from the tarragon?).
Quickly, however, a sweet note makes itself known, the jasmine, which smells nice but somehow doesn’t quite fit into the herbal-green scent direction.
Even in the heart note, it continues to smell herbal, but gradually the roses come through. May rose? Well, for me, a rose is a rose, although the may rose does smell different here than a "normal" rose... oh, it’s somehow hard to describe. I have even less of an idea how water lilies smell. In any case, the heart note continues to smell very sweet, which should be due to the mentioned jasmine. A sweet note also comes from the musk (along with a gentle sandalwood note), but I find that the musk is a bit weak. In the later base, most of the herbal and green scents are gone, and the fragrance smells loosely floral-sweet.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is above average strong, so you don’t necessarily have to get too close to smell the fragrance. A stronger dose will surely leave a little scent cloud behind. Unfortunately, this strength doesn’t last too long.
The fragrance lasts for more than eight hours, but of course (about halfway through), it becomes quite weak despite a good initial sillage.

The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and has a very thick glass bottom. It is filled with a greenish fragrance liquid. On the front, there is an artistic label that fits the scent direction and theme regarding the bohemians. It features a portrait along with many other objects like birds (swift?), butterflies, hearts, and flowers that beautifully complement the overall picture. The initials of the brand name are also nicely integrated into the design. The cap is rectangular and black. A beautiful bottle.

So, the fragrance could actually be viewed a bit artistically. After all, you don’t often smell kitchen herbs at the beginning that blend with sweet scents. That’s something different and possibly unusual, but not necessarily bad. The fragrance is light and bright, making it suitable for spring and summer, both during the day and for going out. Therefore, I would recommend giving it a try.

As for me, I am actually an artist too. After all, it’s quite a feat to hide many Star Wars and other nerdy allegories in my texts :D
Well... or maybe not... I usually say it directly and then lament having scared off one or another because of it *sigh*

At this point, thanks to Parfuma, who sent me some Au Pays samples and now annoys me that I have to comment on all of them he he he :D

Herb-green, spicy, yet quite gentle, powdery scent: basil and tomato leaf in a floral, powdery cloud; close to the skin, soft.
