Dreamy escape to the good old times

Proust is my hero, his sublimation of being is my dreamy escape. And I fell in love with this little gem without knowing first that it´s dedicated to the French writer. So there is a link in between ... It´s a sensitive and subtle scent, easy and light witout being banal; like an easy gossip in Proust novel, but with the wider projection of time and existence.

It´s the blueberries, then the tea and citrus. Sitting in a nice old cafe with bisquits, praline and tea. Taste of a carelessness of 19th century upper class life.

L'Heure de Proust is very likeable, rather spring-summery. For a winter season it´s perfect for layering, it´s simplicity does´nt allow it to be pretentious. Sweetness under freshness.

Love at second sight

First a strong, fresh citrus and fruitiness with a slight sweetness and plenty of black tea. The tea also lasts a very long time, the fruitiness subsides a little and gives way to a really pleasant suede note. I actually thought I didn't like leather fragrances on me, but this one is so cuddly that I make an exception for it.

I can't detect too much sweetness here - I find the sweetness to be very balanced with the citrus and the slightly harsher leather note.

I received the fragrance as a sample in a perfume subscription and the first time I sprayed it on, I was like "Oh yeah, it's nice. Nothing special, but nice".

But despite my not-so-small perfume selection, I suddenly found myself reaching for this fragrance more and more often. At first only in between at the office, because the sample is a nice handbag size and the fragrance simply smells very pleasant and well-groomed.
But then I started using it more and more regularly. First thing in the morning. For going out to eat. Simply always. Crazy.

Like a song that you like more and more the more you hear it. And suddenly it finds itself in your favorite songs.

The fragrance is not a great seducer, not sexy at first sight... but simply a really pleasant, well-groomed feel-good fragrance. And a bit like aromatherapy.
