The flowers of love
I got the Babylon Berlin fragrances for Christmas as a little treat. Actually I didn't want a present anymore, but my boyfriend asked me which fragrance I wanted and since I liked the series and wanted to stay modest, I suggested it to him.
Of course I was very happy about the present and the really very neat bottles would surely please my eye in the perfume showcase.
Since they don't get off very well here, I didn't have too many expectations either.
First of all: The Babylon Berlin fragrances have nothing to do olfactorically with the twenties and thirties and nothing to do with the series apart from the name.
They are pure merchandising products and you can expect a second N°5, Shalimar, Zibeline, Mitsouko or Tabac Blond to mention just a few of the great fragrances of that time.
They're just nice scents, nothing more and nothing less. And they are not that badly made, especially not in this price range. There I have already smelled worse scents, which are much more expensive.
So let's go to the scent of love. This one is the brightest of the three fragrances and the color of the fragrance in light yellow is well chosen. Love is a flowery fragrance with slightly fruity notes. From the scent character I would think of white-flowering with a light honey note. I notice the juice of fresh mandarins and then a lot of jasmine - but not as smoky and artificial as e.g. in Alien. Just bright freshly blossomed jasmine blossoms. Yes, they're synthetic, but still beautiful. I can still imagine some currants, but not too much. Amber's giving the faucet a little warmth. The Sillage is in the middle range and I find it pleasant. It might last a little longer, but I don't mind the price.
Overall, it is a friendly, floral fragrance. No masterpiece, but also not bad for this price range.
There I find the many sugar scents that are so modern at the moment much more annoying. The sweetness of flowers is sweet enough for me!
It is also very suitable for everyday use and good to wear at work.
As said no masterpiece, but a nice, cheap, bright flower scent for every day.

Elegant lily scent
Splendor by Elizabeth Arden was like so many things again a blind purchase from me. A blind purchase, which I have not regretted. Splendor came in 1998 on the market, but I did not know the fragrance yet. At that time, in contrast to today, floral...

I have so far only this one fragrance of this brand, and that has me quite positively convinced.
