Delicate and Soft, but Not a Real Sin!
Sin! That's the name of this fragrance from Babylon Berlin that I recently tested. I mean, really, Sin, you can't just throw a fragrance with such a name at me. You know I sometimes have some pretty dirty thoughts and can't help but let some of that slip into my comments. It's like a trigger that makes me just blurt things out!
SIN! Yes, it's pretty bad... each of us sins, in whatever form that may take. We guys probably sin with the help of thousands of dirty websites (or, if you're an antique collector, then with magazines whose pages hopefully aren't already covered in stickers :D), maybe even so often that it can't be healthy :D
And you ladies? Of course, you sin too! You don't have to hide that at all. But you would never admit it and would rather say that your biggest sin of the day was eating two whole bars of chocolate all by yourself, and that in the MORNING, right? Yes, yes, yes...
You think I'm just rambling nonsense again? Well, then don't give me a fragrance with a name like Sin. Especially not when the manufacturer is Babylon Berlin, because then you might also think of the allegory "The Whore of Babylon"... man, this could go on forever... :D
But: Of course, I can sometimes keep it together (wow, I bet that sounded double entendre...), so that I can also report focused on the fragrance itself...
Later on, and even at the end, the fragrance remains largely unchanged, well, with one exception: The pepper gradually diminishes until it completely disappears. After that, the fragrance remains powdery soft and of course sweet with the described notes. All in all, it's not necessarily a particularly spectacular fragrance, but still a beautiful one.
It's certainly suitable for evening wear or going out, but could also work well in a lower dosage for everyday use on cooler days.
Well, that's all there is to say about this fragrance. You can't say much more about Sin without mentioning even more embarrassing things like the solo pleasures hinted at in the introduction, can you? Anyway, that's it from me. Wishing you all a lovely evening and see you then :)
PS: When you ladies read about the two bars of chocolate earlier, you must have gotten a craving, right? Mu ha ha, I can already see you armed with a jar of Nutella and a spoon sitting in front of Parfumo, all thanks to me, he he he :DD

The Fragrance:
At first, I'm greeted by a huge, soft cloud of resinous, smooth scents. I smell a mix of myrrh, incense, and benzoin. Beautifully soft and supple with a very slight fruity touch. Then the pepper kicks in, where one might think it sounds rather out of place with the soft fragrance notes. But no, even though the pepper tickles a bit in the nose, it integrates very well with the other notes and makes the fragrance all the more autumnal-wintery.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is quite okay. It's not weak, so others can definitely smell it, but also not so strong that everyone might feel overwhelmed (unless, of course, you overdo it with the application, but that applies to all fragrances). The longevity is good, the fragrance lasts eight to twelve hours, depending on how much is applied. The Bottle:
The bottle... hmpf... am I mistaken, or does the bottle look like a lady? Yes, really, take a look: This shape, the (angular) curves... well, somewhat anyway :D In any case, I find the bottle successful, as it looks different from a standard rectangular bottle. The color is also quite nice, and I also like the "necklace" with a golden plaque bearing the brand name. Conclusion:
So, sexy or even sinful, the fragrance doesn't strike me that way. It's just a nice, but somewhat too generic autumn-winter fragrance without any remarkable strengths (or weaknesses) and smells like something most people might already like, if they don't already have several such resinous-soft fragrances, although the pepper is something that doesn't appear in many of those. If you're into this type of fragrance but haven't tried many of them yet, then you might want to check it out. Otherwise, aside from the initial pepper, you won't discover much new in this fragrance for yourself. It's certainly suitable for evening wear or going out, but could also work well in a lower dosage for everyday use on cooler days.
