The Incredible Experience

Or Noir is the quintessence of refinement and nobility. Citrus zest and sprinkling green fruits create an invisible sensation of freshness. The narcotic floral heart unfolds as night falls by stretching musk over a salty modern amber base.
If you read the fragrance notes, the perfume can appear complex, dense, and abundant. Instead, three significant aspects emerge from the underlying ingredients of Or Noir: the fruity accords, the flowery ones, and the more savoury and gourmand ones.

At the top, we find a salad of floury fruits that include a buttery pear and a crunchy apple. A cocktail of citrus juices and peels encloses this mix of fruits, while a handful of orange blossom petals are afloat. It is an important, imposing opening with bubblegum flaps, supported by a bunch of white flowers that it kicks to come out into the open. In summary, an explosion of sweet orange blossom mixed with lively, fruity, and slightly citrus notes. Another fruity note also differs and dominates more among the others, sweetish, which I still need to guess.

Soon, both the freesia with aquatic edges and the nocturnal and indolic jasmine take over and announce the entry of the heart. At the same time, the citrus and fruity aspects subside a bit without disappearing completely. Though, the peach's more juicy and velvety ones, which alternate with the white flowers, replace the pear and apple notes, giving me sweetish puffs.

Heavy, highly detectable musk and amber, with almost animalistic aspects, wrap this luxurious beauty. The salty attitude of the ambroxan is overpowering and hides a bit the chocolatey praliné and the milky coconut. Hence, the fragrance does not come out as too gourmand like Good Girl Eau de Parfum or Black Opium Eau de Parfum, although they share some similar vibes.

Or Noir is very well-balanced, and the notes are subtle and not overwhelming. Not too sweet, flowery, or fruity, but with a character that creates a very mild aura. The sweet and amber nuances make me reach for it during the cold fall days and evenings. I found it for little money and was surprised to find such an outstanding performance! Suitable for evenings and nights. Longevity is enormous; above all, it does not annoy in closed places, such as offices or restaurants. Today a colleague wrote to me asking me what perfume I was wearing. "Oops, maybe I exaggerated!" I replied, and she said, "no, it's that I'm obsessed with perfumes and this is delicious!" Incredible how an unknown perfume bought at a ridiculous price can be so successful, superior to other perfumes of famous costly brands. I look forward to coming across Or Pur, hopefully another hidden gem of the same brand.

I base my opinion and review on a bottle I have owned since October 2020.
