nice scent in an ugly bottle (also not cruelty free)

So when I worked at Rituals, they had a new scent line coming out called the Ritual of Yozakura. EVERYONE said it smelled exactly like Good Girl, so believe me I had to see for myself.
They did smell exactly alike and because I enjoyed the Yozakura scent so much, I got a full bottle of GG.
Later I found out that Carolina Herrera is not cruelty free and I regret not informing myself before the purchase so so much. Animal testing for perfumes and cosmetics is a stupidly cruel and unnecessary practice and I don't endorse purchasing this perfume.

Also, the bottle is fugly. I think this is a love it or hate it type of situation and I am a strong supporter of the latter, unfortunately.

Who's That Lady?

She is definitely a Lady.

Great confidence booster for me. Full of elegance and sophistication... I love this stuff.

Of the 3 GG scents I currently own, the OG is my favorite. This fragrance has the best projection and lasting power on me. It's also a total compliment magnet.

This really helps me get my GROWN WOMAN on!

Nothing about this is masculine for me... As I've seen so many people DESCRIBE it that way, which left me confused. I think it's so ladylike and feminine... She's definitely a BOSS.... But not in a bad way.

A mess, but a good one.

For days when I desire to smell of mindlessly perfumey *perfume*, I wear good old Good Girl.

There's something about this that has become so familiar to me, I no longer feel like it's even necessarily a "party" fragrance, or at all provocative. At one point, I did perceive it way. GG was a "go-getter". Now though, it strikes of a conglomeration of 2000-teens tones, and encapsulates the advent of 2020 in my scent memory. It's all at once banal, and effortlessly pretty. It's even beginning to become nostalgic.

It's got everything. Synthetically, it's a multi-vehicle wreck of florals, coffee-shop gourmonds, and a vague blue freshness that I've never been able to credit to anything allegedly in the note list (which is formidable). Sometimes I'm delighted by the clash, sometimes I find it aggravating. Almond, jasmine and coffee are most prominent...most times, but occasionally I find weird angles within this fragrance. And when rained on, it becomes downright musky, which is truly odd.

With all this being said, there is...despite it's tackiness, a reassuring sweetness that I actually find charming. Or...it could be the nostalgia, I'm really unsure. I've worn this to multiple outings, and although GG is a true "hot mess" (an overused and cliché phrase that bugs me, though absolutely fitting here), I still feel like I do always smell *good* in it.

I'm NOT a compliment chaser, and have never been complimented to my face in public (it's a long story, I overheard someone speaking positively once), but my family almost always praises me when I wear this, and I think the scent trail is more congruent than the clash of notes are at close range.

Party Girl

Just a brief review: While they do not have the same scent profile, GG reminds me of Poison Esprit de Parfum, because it has the same kind of fun, party girl vibe. For me, it's a bit nostalgic in that sense, while still being modern. This is not just a fragrance for parties though.

I love almond and find the opening very pretty and enjoy the almond citrus, coffee combination very much. The middle is a white floral and rose combination, with which the cinnamon works extremely well, and the praline brings a wonderful creamy, gourmand accord. I found the drydown full of lovely woody accords, well grounded by the cocao, tonka and musk.

The performance is very good. I think a lot of people would enjoy this fragrance, especially in cooler weather.

Deep liquor scent suited for sexy night outs

The bottle is awesome for esthetic sense as well as the symbol for what this scent stands for. Sexy, bold, and feminine. I came across this scent in a fragrance shoppe and when I dove my nose onto the tester paper, I knew I had to own one. The fragrance is hard to describe with each note present in the bottle since it carries so many notes but it does carry it well-it develops into a mature, liquor, bold scent... I can almost imagine a tall, attractive lady in a black gown with a tall stilettos rocking the town on a night out.
I personally wear it during the day when I go out or even on occasion, at work as well. At work, it boosts my confidence as a boss and feel like I am in charge.
