Extraordinary, floral green scent
I stumbled upon mat; male quite by chance and ordered it untested after a brief check of the fragrance notes on Parfumo.
Today it finally arrived, and I tried it right away. And, what can I say...
I am shocked...
How can such a brilliant scent have been on the market for 11 years without receiving a review or comment? And apparently, I am the only owner....
But now to my first (perhaps still a bit confused) impressions:
The fragrance starts off with a very impressive floral freshness that already has a noticeably green aspect. The green tea then gradually becomes more prominent as the floral notes recede into the background, but even in the base note, they don’t really disappear.
The green is increasingly complemented by light, woody accords that drift slightly into a leathery scent towards the end.
The imagination kicks in and associates it with summer, sunshine, a picnic on a flower-covered meadow (there’s bamboo growing somewhere, right?), fresh hay as a base, a good green tea... nature... relaxing, enjoying, being happy...
An extraordinary scent, almost unisex suitable, that straightforwardly and competently pursues a very specific concept. For me, it is consistent from top to base.
However, mat; male is not a mainstream scent. Therefore, tastes will surely be divided here. But I like it. I like it very much. And actually, I was much too cautious with my rating.
And I’m already looking forward to tomorrow to wear the scent for work... Good night :-)
