Who Stole The Rose-Note?!

Am I the only one who feels 'fooled' because the bottle design and the name CLEARLY sate that there should be (at least) one rose note in this? I mean WHY name a perfume "Wild Rose", add a rose shaped cap and fill it with everything but rose?

Based on the name and the cute looking bottle I sampled this yesterday expecting a rose based perfume. Wrong, it's a very sweet candy sirupy scent. No flowers that I can detect at all. This one is to my nose all linear sirup with no real impressive middle or drydown. Even without the promised rose note this could have been a pretty enough scent, but alas, not to my nose. For berry sweet celebrity scents I personally prefer Britney Spears "Cosmic Radiance" and some of her "Fantasy" line. I would recommend this for Lavigne fans and/or young girls who like sweet and playful scents.

Silage is: "sweet sirup and bubblegum fluff" -- Longevity is short with on me 3+ hours. Test before purchase and PLEASE! be aware that you won't get any rose notes in here, no matter what the name & bottle try to fool you into believing. But if candy sweet is your thing, this one might be for you. Good luck! : )

A tiny dilution

Two years ago, one of my daughters (now 20) received "Viva la Juicy" as a birthday-present and told me she'd never wear such a "horrible scent".
Trying the stuff myself, I had to approve of her judgement.
This smells like a bad copy of "Viva la Juicy" by Juicy Couture - but in tiny dilution. We came to the conclusion that the aromachemicals contained in "Wild Rose" are cheaper than the alcohol they used in order to produce the fragrance. Production cost: probably less than 50 cents! Some washing-up liquid manages to smell better.

Hmpf....

Not wild at all, but rather quiet and well-behaved, "Wilde Rose" introduces itself to me. And when I think of its predecessor - Forbidden Rose - I am quite glad about that... (see comment)

Shortly after spraying, you get that familiar intense alcohol smell, which I strangely only perceive so intensely and disturbingly in Avril Lavigne perfumes.
This dissipates eventually - unfortunately, it takes a bit longer with Avril - and then you can clearly, but still very quietly, smell the mandarin and grapefruit.

Yes. That's about it. The mandarin and grapefruit become quieter and quieter until they leave me after 1 - at most 2 hours. And I’m actually not even sad about that.

I don’t find Wild Rose bad (Avril Lavigne set the bar very low with Forbidden Rose), trivial, boring - those are words I would use for Wild Rose.
Maybe the perfume works as a room scent - I’ll have to try that; but for me to wear, it’s not.

...besides, the bottle is hideous.

Wild Rose, well, rather silent Rose

So right off the bat, it was a blind buy since there was no tester available. I thought if someone steals the tester, the perfume must be good, so I went ahead and bought 50ml. Well, I must say I am not disappointed. A lovely scent that doesn't overwhelm, but I would use it sparingly as it can be quite noticeable at first, then it gently and beautifully settles on the skin. The fragrance is very light, like Forbidden Rose, but I would describe it as sweeter. Not candy sweet, but sweeter. In my opinion, it also lasts a bit longer than its predecessor. What you definitely smell is the plum and the pink grapefruit, with the mandarin not being as strong. However, the floral heart does come through after about 30-45 minutes, with the orchid standing out a bit; that's it, otherwise you smell a mix of flowers without naming them specifically. The base is very well done. Crème brûlée is included and sweetens it up a bit more. All in all, a successful fragrance that is also nice for an evening for two.

You can definitely test it if a tester can be found ;-)

PS.: The bottle is very beautiful!!
