A modern Chypre

To be fair I have to admit "al01" by Biehl Parfumkunstwerke is a modern and perfect chypre with all the trimmings. "al01" is revealing a green tangy top note, citrical, fruity, with a green, spicy vegetable touch. The top note is crowned by the special acrid scent of galbanum.
Unfortunately I have my difficulties with these kind of classical chypres. Out of this the worste for me is the oakmoss.
I am doomed to smell oakmoss from the first whiff of a perfume till the end. And that usually is lasting for more than 12 hours. If I am wearing or testing a perfume with oakmoss at night it will still be perceivable for me till next morning like a hangover. Often a shower or the trial to remove it by washing it off my skin does not work. There will always still be lasting a hint of oakmoss without mercy. That seems to be my fate concerning oakmoss. Though exceptions are possible.
The green top notes lasting all over the longevity of "al01" and they are enriched by a noble perfectly composed flowery heart-note. Not to much dominated by white flowers but with the fine soapy whiff of aldehydes. The base notes of "al01" are developing a real creamy and feminin chypre" by santal and musk , accomplished by ambergris and some not listet balsamic ingredients. The aokmoss which should be present in the base notes had almost withdrawn. Now I would like to perceive some woody notes and the listed vetiver which I cannot recognize and that I'm regretting a little bit.

There are works of art that I find beautiful without wanting to hang them over my sofa, creations by fashion designers that I like without wanting to wear them myself, and so I find al01 successful and a truly beautifully composed perfume that I certainly will not acquire, because it was simply not made for me.

I usually flee from fruity top notes, but here once again nothing reminds me of fruit salad; rather, the fruity aromas remain mild and aromatic and somewhat bitter, gaining a slightly resinous note from galbanum. That is already well done and makes me want more. However, Arturetto Landi now aims at flower lovers, and as many as possible at once, which is a bit too much of a floral orgy for me. But those who enjoy Flora pouring out her cornucopia will be able to indulge in a dream of fragrance here. Nothing in this scent particularly bothers me; nothing pushes itself to the forefront, there are no abrupt breaks or disharmonies. It’s just simply not my direction.

It doesn’t help much that the beautiful chypre base somewhat curbs the overly romantic floral abundance for my taste and brings calm to the fragrance. A work of art? Yes, indeed, but the style is not among my preferences.

Green Silk!

Hallelujah! Sometimes a woman discovers things that leave her speechless, in a positive sense. Well, as Chanelle already noted, calling Biehl perfumes works of art is a bit lofty, but they seem to understand their craft. However, naming fragrances with numbers, like lab rats, I find somewhat strange, especially since the creations are referred to as works of art. Well, never mind.
al01 opens with a pineapple-heavy, yet fresh-fruity sorbet note. It smells like a sundae with a splash of cassis. Slightly tipsy, I completely agree with Very.
Ha, no tuberoses in the heart note, yay! Wonderful floral cocktail. And (except for lily of the valley, but they only chime in the background) all my favorite flowers are in there, fresh spring blooms that weave a fine green thread.
Of course, I already knew what al01 was when I read the pyramid. So what is it? You get 3 guesses! A wonderful green chypre. BUT this really only reveals itself when the green sorbet note has crumbled away. Because then follows a grassy-woody, mossy-cool, iris-dusty base.
Great summer scent for a party on the beach or in the garden!

First tipsy

Right upon the first spray, I thought to myself, I know you! But from where?
It can't be anyone from my circle of acquaintances. I'm surrounded by mainstream, even deodorant smells good.
I keep pondering...

Ha, now I've got you!!

After checking the pyramids, I'm now quite sure. Someone has taken inspiration from "First." They should have taken even more from it.

The opening is quite tipsy!
The pineapple is overripe and fermenting, which makes the whole thing smell very punch-like and alcoholic. The bouquet that follows is, like in First, very elegant and without frills.
And the pineapple schnapps lingers but gradually fades away. Yes, now it's floral, elegant, similar to First. Unfortunately, I can't explain the exact difference; my nose isn't that good (yet). But I know that First is softer at this point, while al01 has a bit of a sharpness in the nose.

All in all, I don't find it that bad. The longevity is okay. I personally prefer First. This scent also shouldn't settle in. I'm not the elegant business lady I imagine for it.

al01 by Biehl Parfumkunstwerke is beautifully floral with a pleasant note, and has a powdery character.
I just sprayed it on, and it develops very nicely.
At first, it is somewhat floral-fruity with some green notes.
Then come juicy, sparkling pineapple, a bit of basil, combined with galbanum, which leaves a green, fresh scent here.
In the top note, I perceive the blackcurrant and raspberry intensely.
After the first impression, this wonderful perfume smells of all kinds of flowers like sweetly fragrant freesia, intensely sweet-scented white gardenia, violet, and orchid. I only catch a brief whiff of the orchid here!
The same goes for the daffodil and orange blossom; they are only briefly detectable.
The base note is still floral but gets a kick from balsamic amber, a scent of tobacco, and sweet-powdery iris.
White musk unites all these ingredients into a successful perfume.
This scent is ideal for spring and summer!

This little fragrance is worth testing!
