My first full bottle of perfume

Last year, I somehow ended up on perfumetok (despite not being into fragrance at the time), and after seeing several rave reviews for Sorce, I decided to check out their website, and ended up ordering a discover set. After eagerly waiting for about a month, my discovery finally set arrived (on my birthday, coincidentally) and I couldn't wait to try all of the fragrance. And although I liked all of the samples I got, Venus in Fleurs was truly the first fragrance I fell in love, and after a week or two of wear-testing the samples, Venus in Fleurs became the first full bottle of perfume I ever bought.

Venus in Fleurs opens with a delicious ripe, juicy mango that feels almost sticky thanks to the "humidity" note. As it dries down, the mango sticks around (the longevity is honestly really impressive), but the jasmine and vanilla come into focus, resulting in a scent that's sweeter, floral, and slightly animalic. It's incredibly addicting and surprisingly sexy. Personally, despite the unusual profile, I think Venus in Fleurs makes for a great night time going out scent. As the first fragrance I ever bought, Venus in Fleurs will always have a special place in my heart, but I truly think it's a fantastic fragrance in it's own right.

Saved mango for me!

I initially really loved the mango in Electrimuss's Astrum Nova and then it went really weird on my skin and I just through mango wasn't for me.
Sorce saved the day!
This has the right blend of fruity and floral with a gorgeous humidity note that keeps everything from falling into a "been there, done that" rut.
Because I have the perfume oil, the longevity isn't amazing but the price was such I don't feel bad reapplying if needed.

Venus flytrap note is just bergamot?

Initial blast of *very syrupy* mango. Heart notes of jasmine flower and sweet vanilla, as advertised.
After a couple hours, I just smell bergamot lime. Maybe there is a subtler green note rounding it out, like bamboo?
I don't interpret any mist note or humid bog. I own carnivorous plants, and I like how they smell, but they do not smell like limes, so I think that part is really more of a vibey marketing thing.
This is wearable, tropical, and sweet. Certainly some people would like it very much. Just not my thing.

Humid, misty, fruity, and fresh

Sorce does a great job not just with this fragrance, but in general, with capturing "mist" or "fog" smells. It always blows me away how well they not only capture the essence of what the fragrance is replicating, but also the very environment that the fragrance is in. And Venus in Fleurs is no exception!

The humid, moist air enhances the smells of the environment around you and fills your lungs. Ripe mango juice runs down your chin after each bite. You take a moment to breath in the green, fresh, dewy smell of jasmine and venus flytraps around you.

Venus in Fleurs is certainly a "fruity-green" focused fragrance. It's almost narcotic and drowsy. You can almost feel the warm mist when you wear it, and it's become one of my favorites from this brand and a favorite in general!
