Dry grapefruit
Well, this a weird perfume and i think...is this really a perfume. I have bought It because i found a very good offer in a canarian perfumes web (20€/60ml) and i am glad, because this is very different and new for my collection, but at the same time is weird...Will i use It? Probably because really is not bad...but It is lineal and very subtle so... It is very discreet but al the same time persistent, with good longevity for being a citrusy scent. The smell of the perfume is very dry, not sweet at all, something close to a citrusy cleaner or some kind of chemical stuff. The scent has what the notes says: grapefruit, pepper, wood and musk...not more and not less... The thing is that when you wear It It creates a very subtle but noticeable and nice aura around you which is very interesting. Of course It is a fragance for day time with Hot weather. This perfume evokes on me a very similar feeling than other synthetic perfumes like some escentric molécules, some nomenclatura, some aether, clean reserve... I think this has been a good purchase now for summer...

Scent: 7
Longevity: 8
Sillage: 5
Quality/price: 7.5 (for the price i hoy It but i know It usually costs about 90€ and for this price i would give a 4)
Versatility: 9
Origi ality: 9
Global: 6.5

Key words: grapefruit, musk, summer, dry, subtle, citrus, synthetic, molecules

Vampyres finest
(Now hopefully set up correctly)

The brand Blood Concept delights us with fragrances inspired by blood types, which already seems to fit perfectly into the average vampire's prey profile. Since I occasionally roam the night as a bat, own a holiday home in Transylvania, and sharpen my canines on weekends, I felt particularly addressed. The morbid charm of the presentation (black-and-white photography, artistically ambitious display) also piques curiosity in existential circles and beyond.

As a connoisseur, I prefer rarer blood types, particularly AB, which I felt I couldn't resist in fragrance form and therefore wanted to test before all the other blood type scents from Blood Concept. No sooner had the package with the samples of the aforementioned brand been placed in the entrance of my abode, the postman drained and the incriminating remnants (clothing, car, bag) disposed of, than I set to the test.

How disappointing! No trace of blood, but rather boring scent components from the witch's kitchen of modern alchemy, which, when mixed unharmoniously, present an affront to the fine nose of my species.

Even a development is only recognizable at first, when the scent shifts from boring-pleasing to metallic-floury. Offended, I took my place again in the upper window niche of the dilapidated tower of my ruin and waited for the next postman.

During a longer meditation phase, which I spent hanging upside down, my upper body hidden under my skin wings, pondering the meaning and absurdity of postmodern niche fragrances, a thought occurred to me. Could it be that these fragrances were not even conceived for vampires, but perhaps composed for people who, after using many mainstream scents, were disappointed, after testing various niche fragrances were disillusioned, now had to chase the next scent kick, lured by unusual, never-before-smelled scent components, just as we are by blood and fear sweat? So it might be. Satisfied with this realization, I fell asleep just before sunrise, still full and content from the blood of the postman.

Now it is dark again, and I look forward to the next meal. To celebrate the day, it can also be a nice scent for me. What do vampires prefer to wear? Quite simply: classics that we have been using for centuries. Over 300 years ago, a young perfumer from Cologne recommended a fragrance to me, which he shortly thereafter called Eau de Cologne. The scent was so enchanting that I spared it. How would the history of perfume have unfolded if he had held a scent from Blood Concept under my nose...

"That ole devil..."
So here you are again.
Appeared out of nowhere - "I was never gone."
Leaning against the wall, hands in pockets, head slightly tilted.
Who else but you wears a three-day stubble, with your grin, a bit crooked.
Silver threads in the black, still curly, messy, and a tad too long.
Twenty years, almost.
Your gaze is still the same - very direct, unfiltered, clear.
And cheeky.
You let it off the leash like a dog.
Searching, feeling, remembering.
Twenty years.
Your hand in my hair, blood from my bite on your lip.
You never used many words, no fuss, got straight to the point.
A bit rough, gripping, strong.
Salt on your skin, its scent in my nose.
Dark, spicy, heated, a little sharp, a little dirty.
Twenty years.
Your gaze in mine, your mouth now serious.
One step, just one...

Birch tar.
Time and again, birch tar.
Since "Testostérone," this substance has been turning my head, again and again - but not everywhere.
Rarely is the effect of a fragrance so dependent on its dosage, on the skill of the perfumer as well as the number of sprays.
Just one drop, and images flicker on the canvas, flooding my cheeks red and hot.
And not just them.
But just a hint too much has the opposite effect, turning the Aldi around the corner into a cage of beasts, punching me in the stomach and stabbing my brain.
And then it no longer matters whether your name is Banderas, Clooney, or Keitel.

With "AB," it's one drop, just one, applied to strategically important points, day after day after day.
There, where it is warm under my skin, where wind and weather have no influence.
One drop only, behaving politely and cultivated for a moment, bitter-sweet grapefruit, rain-soaked gray stone.
For a breath, a blink.
And then it turns dark, dry, heat-spicy bitter, deep and rough and don’t let me go.
Birch tar, unmistakably, "white wood" as a synonym.
Nothing else holds a candle to it, no fruit, no pepper, no stone - not here, not there, and not anywhere.
Hour after hour, it glows and smolders on my skin, there, where it is warm and soft, images rise from the depths of my memory, from realms of fantasy, blending delusion and reality.
"That ole devil" comes to mind, and Alison Moyet: "S'pose I didn't stay, ran away, didn't play - the devil, what a potion he would brew…"
It would surely contain birch tar.

PS: Franfan - thank you!

Pepper Stones in the Musk Cave
Actually not bad at all AB the Black Series, with B probably the best from this series. It even smells quite similar to this tea scent. But instead of citrus teas, there are lemony-bitter mineral stones like L'eau Froide by Serge Lutens. Definitely summery and light - only unfortunately so incredibly light and quickly vanished. Not only from the skin but also from memory.

Essentially, the scent starts with a bitter bergamot or rather a citrus peel aroma, similar to that in Hermes Eau D'Orange Vert. Quickly, the 2 main components pepper and stony minerals join in. It smells slightly damp yet again dry. Similar to a stalactite cave. When you have passed through it, the light of a bright forest clearing full of moss and white wood appears, which is enveloped by the musk. Overall, this image, however, stays in memory much longer than the hint of a scent itself.

Because the longevity is only a maximum of 5 hours and the scent is a skin scent for me throughout the entire duration.

Unfortunately, all scents from the Black Series settle in the gray midfield for me; if I had to decide, it would probably be B or AB.

Sweating in a Clean Bathroom
So the scent just doesn't work for me. I just used a sample and luckily only a little. It smells to me like men's sweat in a freshly cleaned bathroom. There's something musty about it, but also lemony and definitely sharp. I'm glad when the scent hopefully fades away quickly.

Subtle and dry citrusy scent. Grapefruit, pepper, Woods and musk. For summer time. Good longevity but...is It there? Could be an e.molecules
