Stunning violet fragrance with poor longevity
Brioni EdP is a very interesting fragrance due to its standout violet note that stays with it for the majority of its life. It comes across to me as classy and sophisticated. For a man say 21 and over, it's pretty versatile - all year, day or night. For a young man under 21, would work best for a dressy or formal occasion. Not overly sweet but not dry. Violet done very well for men. And no, it's not like the Fahrenheit OG - not even a hint of gasoline. Brioni EdP is reserved and would be appealing to most. It would make a great office fragrance because it is subtle but would have to be reapplied at noon, if not sooner.

Unfortunately, where it falls flat is in its performance. I barely got 5 hours out of it. At the 6 hour mark it was undectable, even with nose to skin. After the first 15 minutes or so, it's a very intimate scent with little projection or sillage. I could live with it being close to the skin but not the poor longevity. A real shame for such a great violet scent.

Amazing violet fragrance but has some restrictions
I would say it is an amazing violet smelling fragrance with a nice base that can be applied casual/office or even summer nights if you go with your friends or soulmate for a casual drink. In my opinion this fragrance is not made to impress or lets say grab the attention from the people around you. I would say it is made for people who are self confident don't want to grab the attention from everybody but only the people you care around you if you know what i mean ^^.

I picked this fragrance because I'm not a big fan of fresh citrus fragrances.

Did I regret this buy? Definitely not !! what could be better ? Longevity for sure...
If you have any question let me know and I will happily try to help.

My Peace with Fahrenheit
When asked about the most terrible perfume for me, I would have undoubtedly answered Fahrenheit around 25-30 years ago. I still have the image of a dance class as a young girl in my mind. Fahrenheit was particularly popular back then, and it seems that men’s perfumes still tend to be over-applied to this day. If I was assigned a dance partner who wore this perfume in excess, I had to make sure I kept my dinner, or Swabian snack, down. This scent hit my stomach so hard with its gasoline-violet note that I could easily feel nauseous.

This new perfume by Michel Almairac, one of my favorite noses, also smells like Fahrenheit. Of course, I immediately remember the first sniff and am back in the dance class, but the scent no longer bothers me. To be honest, I even find it quite successful, even if it doesn’t completely match my taste.

However, I don’t attribute this mismatch to the strong similarity with its big brother from Dior, but rather to the increasingly dominant Ambroxan synthetic, which slowly but surely overlays the notes of violet, wood, and musk. The whole thing becomes increasingly harsh and loses its appeal for my nose, which I find unfortunate. The start with the prevailing violet note and warm woody tones is indeed quite promising. Of course, it’s not as complex as the Dior (of which I also don’t know the current formulation), but the opening of this creation by Almairac gives hope for more, which unfortunately does not come. What a pity. Because the foundations for a classic in a modern outfit were indeed laid.

What truly makes me happy, however - Ambroxan or not - is that this spritzy violet no longer causes me stomach pains. With some scents from my youth that I desperately wanted back then and had the chance to sniff again today, my love has rather faded. Here, however, the exact opposite happened. I believe I’m starting to actually like Fahrenheit a little. I’ve crossed it off my no-go list, at least.

A big thank you to Bastian for the testing opportunity.

The Gentle Roman
Hello, I’m back again. Today I will be reporting on the men’s fragrance from Rome.
*Brioni*
What doesn’t come to mind when I think of the Eternal City.
I’ve been there up to 5 times and it fascinates me again and again.
Yes, to be precise, I love this city and the people there.

ROME
The city on the Tiber was founded on April 21, 753 BC by Romulus. You know,
Romulus, the party pooper who killed his twin brother Remus, just because he made fun of the city wall built by Romulus.
Okay... okay... that’s already a reason to take someone out... Hello? Why funny?
He just couldn’t distinguish between fun and seriousness. Apparently, that still exists today...
Such people... just as a side note... I noticed it..... Had to be!!!

BRIONI
Shortly after the assassination of Romulus in 1945, Brioni was founded. The men’s outfitter of the upper league.
Tailored suits from 5000 to 40,000 euros...
But we know that, we have enough of them in our wardrobe. Just as a side note, there are now underwear that you can get for a ridiculous bargain price of 400 euros.
Well, let’s see, maybe I’ll go for it. Although, they only have 3 holes too.

THE FRAGRANCE

NOW it comes... The bomb!
The perfume is available from 70 euros.
Yes, you read that right. Not 7000 euros but 70 euros. That for 70ml.
And I can tell you, it’s an elegant little water of the finest.
The scent DNA is similar to that of Dior Fahrenheit. But not as intrusive and strong.
Brioni scores more with reserved and stylish elegance.
These ozonic notes with apple create a fresh, bizarrely unique scent.
The wood and tonka beans give it an old-school vibe that is simply fabulous.
Even though there are parallels to Fahrenheit, it is still a completely independent fragrance.

It wasn’t love at first spray for me, like with Oud Burmi, but it quietly snuck into my heart.

Now I’ve bought it. And I’m a proud
Brioni owner.

CONCLUSION
Whoever is looking for a slightly more reserved fragrance,
that is elegant, stylish, and yes, almost always wearable, should test this one.

I’m glad it was in my mailbox as a scent sample. Otherwise, I probably would have never gotten to know it.

My thanks go to the lovely Mrs. Kirsche,
She had the fragrance as an original sample and thought it might be something for Bastian.

Let me tell you something, dear Kirsche, you were absolutely right. Thanks for that.

Yours, Basti.

PS: Don’t think for a second, damn, he’s intelligent. All the stuff about Rome can be read on Google. Yes, um... I can read.

People who always think about what others think of them would be very surprised if they knew how little others think about them. Bertrand Russell
With Brioni, it's a bit of a thing; there's a blog by a guy who wears a poorly fitting Brioni suit and talks about how great it is. Throughout the whole video, you wonder how such a bad fit is possible and how overconfident this guy is. Brioni is not fast fashion, and you shouldn't even ask why these suits are so expensive.
All the pieces are handcrafted, and even the buttonholes on the cuffs can be opened. You won't find this even in a Pal Zileri suit; maybe I missed something there.
It's exactly the same with this fragrance; it's not a sillage monster, it's not piercing, it's not "hey, here I am." Distinction might be a fitting description. This Brioni is quite elegant and has class. This is something that is sorely lacking among many mainstreamers; what comes across positively and pleasantly here is missing in others of this class. An everyday scent that reminds me of the Bally fragrance from the eighties. The sillage is not too strong, yet always noticeable, in the manner of a Majeure Dissey, which is also constantly present but never overwhelming. Ambroxan is constantly in a battle with tonka bean, which feels brilliant and very unique. In the opening, before the cedarwood notes, pepper is noticeable and reminds me of Balmain Carbone by Nathalie Lorson.
The longevity is astonishing; even in the fitting room, the staff member wearing her mask comments on this Brioni because this scent profile is new and hasn't been seen before.
Terre d'Hermès or Fahrenheit were such bright spots years ago.
Lalique pulled out all the stops for this noble Brioni. If you know the first bestseller from years ago in green with the wooden cap and the name Jaguar, then this could also become very successful. You can detect certain similarities due to the cedarwood and tobacco.
No fragrance from Puig, Coty, or L'Oréal has this level of understatement at the moment and still brings such good cheer.
If you're looking for a daily companion that generates style, class, and good feedback, you can't go wrong with this Brioni.
If you're looking for a room filler, then Eros, Le Male Parfum, or the good old A-Men would be the better choice.
As a signature scent, or more modernly said, as a signature, it is certainly very suitable.
The Baldessarini in the square bottle from the nineties had a similar finish.
A comparison with Cool Water is not recognizable, with Fahrenheit only to a limited extent, as it becomes woody and warm more quickly.
A recommendation and a bow to the house of Lalique.

The star of this scent is violet, floral sweet, aquatic, ozonic. A sweet-tart apple, pepper and a woody/musky Ambroxan. Some smooth tonka.

Primarily violet flowers (think creme de violette), not so much violet leaves. Floral, green, and metallic. Somewhat synthetic smelling.

Could be generalised as fresh, floral woodiness, though the exact makeup of the floral bouquet is muddled together and uninteresting.

Honestly, it just smells like Cool Water at four times the price.

Regarding performance: I put just one spray on last night an hour or two before bed and I could still smell it in the morning.

After the summer shower
strolling over the still damp meadow, grass, hay & violets greet
and breathing in the clean,
pleasantly green air.

It has everything a popular men's fragrance should have today: apple top note, aquatic, shower gel base, pepper, musk.
