Herbaceous for Housework
Like its nearly namesake sibling scent, Pikowaja Dama Classic is also a straightforward representative. Immediately after application, it billows with herbaceous white flowers. Jasmine and lily of the valley.
Particularly the former asserts its claim to dominance as time goes on. Although I sprayed it carefully, the stinky side of the plant comes through all too well. Although softened by additions like a (melon?)-watery quality, which, as usual, makes me think of the watery nature of an aroma-free noble rose. One can also concede a magnolia-tea-like quality, which is very serious in its own right. Unfortunately, the watery aspect has a dish soap quality, and overall, at least the companions of the jasmine carry an aura of the synthetic.
And it remains strict; the jasmine keeps its steep forehead wrinkle and primarily just quiets down. At best, a slight calming of character can be observed towards late morning, for which white musk is plausible. This gives the whole thing a laundry powder attitude. By early afternoon, "woody notes" are also well identifiable, let’s see this as a euphemism for an artificial wood base.
All this does not bring about a real change in character; the Pikowaja Dama remains quite straightforward. Unfortunately, for me, it is rather unattractive, somewhat old-maidish. This perception of mine is not an isolated case with such perfumes. Friends (and girlfriends) of strictly clean floral scents are better served with this.
I thank 0815abc for the sample.
