The Kettle Whistles!
Subtly flavored black tea simmers in a pre-warmed porcelain pot, exuding a warm, intense scent. The aroma consists of bitter lemon and dry, sultry flowers, particularly magnolia. There is nothing fresh or light about it. Rather, the character suggests a dried, brittle tea leaf blend. For this reason, I believe the fragrance possesses a pleasantly substantial heaviness that is coherent with its name.
The primary contributor to the cozy black tea steam is the woody musk. This comes across as noble from the very beginning, while also having a musty quality in a sensual base of sandalwood and cinnamon powder. Later, a slightly smoky, ozonic note emerges, which I attribute to the amber.
Dark Delight is a heavy, warm black tea scent and as such, likely a reference point. Although there is nothing about this fragrance that bothers me, I would personally not wear it for taste reasons.
