Time travel to the year 2007...

I stood in the drugstore and saw this bottle. I was almost ashamed to pick it up. My pride made me hesitate, "after all, you operate in the niche segment," I thought to myself. Glancing left, glancing right. No one around! So here we go. I grabbed a test strip, sprayed it on, and slowly brought it to my nose:

Flashback to the year 2007... It’s autumn, and the trees are slowly losing their colorful leaves. It’s stormy, and a fog is starting to roll in. I had just come out of a nice hot shower. In the haze of memory, I see myself standing in my underwear in my childhood room until suddenly a distant "Uh-Oh" echoes. It was the notification tone from the well-known messenger with the green flower. Full of excitement, I ran to the old computer with the CRT monitor. A girl I had just met wrote to me asking if I wanted to come over. "Of course," I replied, after all, I was done with school at 1:00 PM, it was Friday. Was that a good idea? After all, it’s a girl. Alone with her? What do you do then? Are her parents home? Is this already a date? Questions raced through my mind.

She was 14, almost 15 years old, and I was still the insecure 13. She secretly opened the front door for me; after all, her parents couldn’t know that a boy was coming over. Once we arrived at the attic apartment, an oriental masculine scent hit my nose that quickly faded since the window was open. Was that a perfume or the smell of a hookah? There was one right in the middle of the room. I thought nothing of it and lay down with her on the sofa. We cuddled, talked about everything under the sun, but suddenly... Again! An oriental spicy scent wafted up to my nose... I was starting to wonder. Was she seeing the Italian guy from the 9th grade? But then it hit me, it was her stuffed animal that smelled like that! I just had to ask her about it. With a laugh, she got up, walked to the cupboard, and pulled out a bottle of Bruno Banani Man, confessing her sensual love for this scent. She almost went crazy when she smelled it. The bottle looked valuable and had something unique with its tilted stand. I only knew it from the commercials. That bald guy in the leather jacket and women stroking him. I also remembered the slogan. "Bruno Banani, not for everybody."
I carefully sprayed the scent first on the back of my hand to get acquainted with it and finally on my neck. After all, nothing could go wrong. I couldn't have made a better landing.
You can probably guess the rest of the story. It turned into a long day that stretched into the night. Without a light, I quietly went down the stairs and closed the door behind me. On the way home, two things came to my mind. On one hand, the euphoria and feelings of happiness, and even after 10 hours, a sweet delicious vanilla...

By now, my shame had faded. I grabbed the packaging and went to the checkout. About 20€/50ml. A great price, but after all, it’s a drugstore scent. But it packs a punch! It’s very well received by the ladies, regardless of age. Unfortunately, I have to say that the scent is no longer what it once was. The longevity has unfortunately diminished significantly, and the scent composition seems slightly different to me. Nevertheless, you can’t go wrong with it. A mainstream scent from old times that suits every occasion. Hate it or love it. Whether in the office, going out, or just to indulge in memories :-)

I associate Bruno Banani with my early, clumsy attempts at getting to know women... they liked it back then too. But looking back now, I know it can't compete with real perfumes.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading, Runzelchen!
@Sambora, it may be true that I've lost control over my life. "BB Man" is just a naughty scent for us, despite its uniquely appealing DNA in my opinion. :-)

Anyone who feels almost ashamed in the drugstore has probably lost control of their life, Karl Lagerfeld would probably say.
