When the Latin lover turns out to be blonde Paul with a bouquet of white flowers in his arms

And another candidate whose name and fragrance don't go together at all. Latin Lover, it makes you think of a certain sultriness, somehow a little sticky, perhaps sweet (vanilla in the base), definitely dark hair with promade. In short: not my hunting direction at all. Nevertheless, I found the fragrance pyramid here very appealing and well, I needed a 5th sample for the Carner tester set, so I took it with me.

Everything is gray here today, it's raining at 10°C, so fresh citrus doesn't really fit and so the first thing I reached for was our LatinLover. When I'm completely clueless, I dose carefully at first. Nevertheless, I was immediately enveloped in a cuddly soft, unsweet white floral fragrance. No trace of bergamot in the top note. Latin Lover? Not a trace of sweet temperament, here is rather a blond Paul, dressed in a beige woolen sweater and carrying a white bouquet of flowers, politely asking for coffee. The bottle fits the fragrance (and Paul) surprisingly well, light wood, angular. Very reminiscent of the bottles with wood from Clean.

Jasmine/magnolia/lily of the valley is the holy trinity of the white fragrance lover, musk is the icing on the cake for durability and creaminess. Nevertheless, there is a lot you can do wrong, there is often a risk of headaches from too much sweetness or grandma's powder puff sends its regards. It's a fine line you have to walk. For my (!) taste, the quartet at Carner comes around the corner quite powerfully, then flattens out a little but remains at a level that would be too much for the office, but is great for a date/evening. It reminds me a little of the Narcisso Rodriguez fragrances but - very importantly - without vanilla and with a little more substance. I really like it!

As the fragrance progresses, nothing becomes sweet, white creaminess remains. Evil tongues could again make the comparison to expensive body lotion. But there is a fan base for such "cuddly soft and clean" fragrances and they are very well served here and have a new all-purpose weapon in their arsenal.

Exciting to read here that many describe it as light and fresh, I would definitely have placed it on the "heavier" half of my collection.

After an hour, the silage subsides to a socially acceptable level, although I didn't get overly fogged with it either. Durability still needs to be tested at a slightly higher dosage, the spray was still easy to smell close to the body after 5 hours.
Available in two sizes: 50ml for 105€/ 100ml for 160€

Certainly the beige and white floral musk fragrance is not being reinvented here and there are various alternatives, but I really like the scent and it has at least qualified for the 15ml 3-piece set (a totally underrated size that I personally find incredibly practical and keeps my financial ruin somewhat in check)
