Fragrant Roller coaster!

Welcome to the sweet, candied experience called Jolie! This is a roller coaster through lollipop hills and sugared rivers. It is a simple and sweet concoction done with mastery and complexity. If you are a gourmand lover as myself it will be difficult not to fall in love.

Sugar trip:
To begin with, you have to like sugar to enjoy this blend. First spray, a tooth-achingly sweet blast of sugar. Not crystal sugar, powdered sugar, if you get a sniff from a bag of powdered sugar you will know what I mean, at this point the sweetness is sharp. In a few seconds I start to get whipped cream, the milk is making a discreet appearance, never too obvious through its whole wear.

Lollipop hills:
A caramelized sugar quality with all the stickiness and slightly burned aspects makes things even more interesting. But this is just a stop before arriving to the lollipop, hard candy land. I think I could describe this phase with colors, it feels like little rainbow explosions of sugar. The fruits have also joined the party now offering their juicy and bright qualities. My nose detects cherry, maybe some blood orange, peach and maybe a bit of lime as I detect sth discreetly sour.

Now the mastery point, the above-mentioned stage lasts for 6 hours on my skin. It does not lose its intensity, the powdered sugar effect is vibrant and alive though its whole wear. There are some really good ingredients in here, might be concentrated oils, even the sprayer part is a bit sticky.

If you like sticky sweetness, caramelized vanilla and candied notes this is for you.

...what's too much is too much!

If I had even the slightest inkling of how sweet this perfume is - I would have steered clear of it right away. But since it is categorized as a unisex scent and the fragrance notes really don't deter me, I had to test "Jolie".

To make it short: Aside from an overwhelming and unbearable sweetness, nothing about this scent lingers in memory! Jolie smells to me / on me / at me like caramelized sugar, doused with musk and vanilla. Somehow, all the components get lost in this inferno.

However, the longevity and sillage are outstanding... I even had the feeling that the scent had literally burned itself into my skin.

As a unisex scent, I really wouldn't want to label Jolie. However, for those gentlemen who want to pass as "Candyman," they should go for it boldly; all others should better keep their hands off.

I need to calm my nose down now and will smell a glass of cucumbers....

Warm Almond Milk with Extra Sugar

That would actually be all that needs to be said, but we can delve a little deeper. So far, Enrico Buccella's perfumes have proven to be very substantial, which also applies to Jolie, but this is the most gourmand fragrance I know from him. All the others tend to lean more towards spicy-floral or coniferous directions or have a gourmand finish, even though the ingredients suggest a completely different path.

Of course, the name says it all, and the contents sound not only tasteful but are indeed so. Jolie offers the perfect olfactory illusion of sweetened warm frothy almond milk with extra sugar until the spoon almost stands up, plus a hint of caramel.

At first, a few plastic-like to bitter undertones emerge, but they quickly disappear and do not reappear in the linear scent progression.
In addition, Jolie provides a gourmand journey lasting in the double-digit hour range and a projection that can fill half a coffeehouse.

Thus, it is also true here: a hot recommendation for sweet tooth enthusiasts - and those who have issues with sugary milk scents will not warm up to Jolie accordingly.

... in donkey milk - probably due to a lack of alternatives. For if she had known this little fragrance, she would likely have had her bathtub filled with it. Almond-milky bittersweetness, delicate sugary creaminess, and caramelized foam - a truly royal delight for gourmand lovers!

Heavenly elated, deeply saddened, and back again

It could have been so beautiful… Just the ingredients make my mouth water. This sounds like a cuddly gourmand. Bam, check, wishlist. And shortly after, I held the sample in my hands.
Sprayed on, sniffed while waiting. I can see an oily film on the sprayed area. I am on cloud nine. What a heavenly top note. Sweet, somewhat liqueur-like and very soft, almost like the butter vanilla that you always use for baking as an aroma. This opening reminds me of something… Of course, Dolce Acqua by Profumum. It also had such a great start. After a few minutes, the scent changes, it becomes somehow more serious. The fluffy softness and sweetness fade away, and a really intense note comes into play. Quite overwhelming and unfortunately frightening the other ingredients away. And again, I notice parallels to DA by Profumum. Even though it is not listed with Jolie, I could swear there is heliotrope in it. This already bothered me in DA, and here it is no different. Too dominant, too loud, and too scratchy, it devastates my gourmand paradise. And that stays the same. For a very long time. A few hours later, it subsides. What remains is a wonderful base of warm milk with caramelized sugar sprinkles. Here, my world is back in order. But unfortunately, it does not reconcile me with this nasty heliotrope note. This is not going to work out for us. Such a shame, because I can't complain about the longevity and sillage here. Jolie easily lasts a workday, and I was always surrounded by a light cloud. For me, this means the search for the perfect gourmand continues. However, I still recommend every lover of sweet scents to test this one. Those who do not have such a strong aversion to the aforementioned ingredient will surely find it worthwhile.
