Sex & Roses
I really don’t even know where to start with this scent. From the name, to the stiletto cap, to the red juice, all the way down to the scent, this is hands down one of the sexiest scents I’ve ever encountered. And coming from someone who hates cherry, this fragrance has easily become one of my favorite cherry scents.
Fétiche La Rose falls into a category of fragrances I like to call, “simple beasts”. Simple beasts always have just a few notes to them, but exhibit high complexity, quality, and performance. The black cherry + rose are reminiscent of the similar combo in Carmina, but without the strong amber and musk of the latter. The cherry in La Rose is a true, dark cherry. One that stains your fingers and lips after biting into it, leaving its blood-like nectar behind as evidence. Very bold, natural, and with a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. The cherry leads in its dance with the rose, and the pink pepper leads in its dance with the ginger. Together, they add a warmth and sparkling fresh spiciness to a dark, but gleaming scent.
I am truly as infatuated as I expected to be, given my love for deep rose scents (shoutout to Fenty Eau de Parfum)! I think those that are rose-averse and rose-obsessed could easily be seduced by the sheer sexiness of this scent. By no means is this a safe blind buy and the bottle may put some off, but it is so c*nty and true to the Louboutin aesthetic. It absolutely deserves a try and all of the hype/love it’s currently receiving. I’m ecstatic to have her in my collection.
