Unforgettable

When I was a child, I loved to sneak into the party cellar when my parents hosted a "gathering."

I used thirst or bad dreams as an excuse to sit a little and watch.
The world of adults fueled my curiosity.

And so I watched the couples dancing to Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" - considering my parents to be the most beautiful couple.
My father tall and blonde, my mother dark and petite.
They swayed harmoniously to Cole's melting voice in rhythm - so that I hoped to do the same later.
Well - I resemble my mother and - I married a tall blonde man.

These thoughts cross my mind when I catch a whiff of Aguilera's equally "melting" fragrance.
The plum is so beautifully soft and the jasmine enchants most at night.
Rose and cashmere blend in velvety, and warm vanilla and tonka bean gently round off the composition.

Unforgettable is like the close, smooth dance of my parents that fascinated me back then.

Christmas in the Heart

I test all Aguilera fragrances, but so far I have only really liked the very first one. I tested Unfogettable for the first time in warm temperatures and found it terrible. Sweet, piercing, cheap, interchangeable, banal, smelled a thousand times before. Just like in Darkwhite's "Alarm Level Summer".
After that, there were enough interesting new discoveries, and I didn't really think about it anymore. Recently at Rossmann, there was a 20 percent discount on everything from Aguilera. The eponymous fragrance immediately went into my basket. 10 euros for 30ml is quite okay. But while browsing further, I discovered a set - Unfogettable 30ml plus deodorant. It was probably once a great promotional deal for just 9 euros. So I got it for 7.20. I had to grab it! Just before Christmas, you need a few gifts. And then I just sprayed the fragrance on again. Just like that.
And suddenly it was different. Or was it me? It smelled like a Christmas market, like vanilla crescents, mulled wine, candied almonds, warm pancakes with plum compote! After this whole delicious mixture that hangs in the air. But not loud-screaming, rather warm-familiar. And for a good 6 hours, at that price, completely acceptable.
So it remained in my possession. One can never have enough fragrances. Conclusion - I only use it in the cold season, and I also apply it quite sparingly. It becomes my warm cozy corner, just around me. My Christmas for me in pocket size.
Well, my favorite saying proves itself time and again - good things take time!

Alarm Level Summer

I enter the already extremely heated classroom. The windows are firmly locked due to renovations on the school building, and they cannot (intentionally) be opened.
Outside, the temperature is already at least 27°Celsius. Inside the classroom, it feels like double that.
There is a muggy, damp smell in the room. The old wooden paneling of the ceiling and the blackboard naturally spreads its own scent throughout the entire space. The floor has just been mopped, and the blackboard sponge is completely covered in white chalk, with only a small green spot showing through, a color that the damp sponge surely once had.
Breathing is difficult. The air is extremely thick. The aforementioned smells envelop you as if you are trapped in a cocoon of a rare spider species, sentenced to death.
I place my leather bag on an old wooden table and take a seat.
The classroom gradually begins to fill up. I hear shoe soles sticking to the damp floor and laughter. The faucet drips, giving me the feeling of being trapped in a cage made of Plexiglas sheets, in the tropics.
The teacher enters the room, drenched in sweat and panicked. His scent of sweat mixes with all the other smells in the environment.
A biting sweet smell crushes my skull with a sledgehammer. Before I have the chance to pick up the pieces, I realize where this violence is coming from. The door opens, and a classmate enters the classroom. Everything around me goes dark, jars of honey fall from the ceiling, and I seek refuge under a wooden table. In vain. The aforementioned wooden table is a traitor and reveals my hiding place to the violent honey. Everything becomes more humid and extremely smoky. But suddenly, a creamy, fluffy veil crosses my path. It calls itself cashmere. It opens its arms to give me comfort. I run into its embrace, and it wraps around my neck like a corset that tightens ever more. So much for comfort. I find myself in the nurse's room.

Absolutely NOT a summer scent! Please don't do this..
In winter, it is very flattering, and the dear cashmere and the nice vanilla make a great duo!
EDIT 06.09.2014:
I have noticed in recent months that many... far too many women wear this scent in warmer temperatures. I had a long train journey of 4 hours yesterday, and a lady joined me... she wore this scent in overdose... I now find the scent totally unbearable! I don't want to smell it anymore!

Unforgettable by Christina Aguilera

~ Association ~
In my mind's eye, I see a woman with playful elegance in a business outfit.

~ Perfume Bottle ~
is black, hourglass-shaped with white floral vines. The bottle itself is minimally translucent when held up to the light. When I want to check the fill level, I turn the bottle upside down and hold it against the light.

~ Odor ~
I immediately smell the jasmine flowers; unfortunately, the rose is a bit overshadowed for me. After a short while, the scent becomes softer due to the vanilla. I find that you can consistently smell plum and tonka bean.

~ Longevity ~
The scent lasts about 7-8 hours on me, but even then, a hint is still perceptible. On a scarf, the scent lasts about 1-2 days.

~ Occasion ~
I really like the scent during the day. Also great for the office (applied discreetly). I also think the perfume is too heavy for summer. Not suitable for hot summer days and nights. More for mild and slightly cool spring, early summer, and early autumn days. But best suited for winter..

~ Summary ~
An affordable yet high-quality star scent for daytime in winter, which is also suitable for the office. Personally, I also like to use the scent for layering ..as a base for Alien. It works great because of the jasmine and cashmere, and Alien gains some facets from it. This way, you can also take Unforgettable out in the evening. I love this scent for its lightness, even though it belongs to the richer fragrances.

Vanilla Plums

~ Inspiration ~
I became aware of the new perfume by Christina Aguilera through the commercial. Recently, there was a small sample included in a magazine.

~ Bottle ~
Here, too, the hourglass shape of feminine curves has been maintained. The bottle is black with a white lace pattern and red lettering. However, the fill level is very difficult to see.

~ Scent ~
Sweet, ripe plums and creamy vanilla form the character of the fragrance.
The floral heart note of rose and jasmine only peeks through slightly. After a few minutes, it becomes beautifully warm, powdery, and somewhat heavier due to the vanilla, silky cashmere, and tonka beans.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 5 hours (on clothing and hair a bit longer). Two sprays are sufficient; otherwise, it loses its charm.

~ Occasion ~
A cozy, beautiful scent for the colder days in autumn and winter. For evenings or as a going-out fragrance, it is too light for me.

~ Conclusion ~
Rose, plum, and vanilla are also present in the first perfume - those who like that will enjoy this one too :)
