Candied and Musky Fruits
After testing this fragrance in the store, I wrote on a piece of card that I had tested, 'Sweet Potion'. Later, when I returned home I realised that this fragrance was actually called, Secret Potion. Thinking over it now, the name Sweet Potion is more of an apt description.

This fragrance is incredibly sweet and sugary. It's not far off the cotton candy likes of Britney Spears Fantasy and Aquolina's Pink Sugar. You really have to like sugary gourmands in order to enjoy Christina Aguilera's Secret Potion.

The citrus notes, along with the passionfruit are present in Secret Potion, however they come coated in icing sugar. I find this fragrance's sugary gourmand nature oddly pleasant, however smelling it constantly could result in a headache. It's one of those fragrances that really should be applied with a light hand.

The heart introduces some vanillary aspects, with the tonka bean providing some warmth and dimension. Amber shines through in the drydown, however the candy sweetness can still be found.

Out of all the Christina Aguilera scents I've tried so far, this fragrance, and By Night would have to be my favourites. It's a pity that these fragrances are often hard to come by.

Secret Potion's sillage is quite intense, so I'd assume that it would be a huge compliment getter from those around you. The longevity was also surprisingly good, lasting around six hours on my skin. I recommend.

The Girlie in Me
There is the “child in a man” and there is the “girlie in a woman”.

Maybe I’m entering my second spring, but I recently acquired 2 fragrances that I believe are not necessarily intended for mature women in their prime.

One of them is Secret Potion by Christina Agui…, oh, whatever, it’s too complicated for me, “gg”

The name probably means something like “magic potion” and the cute bottle reminds me of a woman’s body, with a lovely accessory being a golden amulet that no one needs.

But here’s the thing… I actually like the scent, and not just a little… Probably because it makes me feel several years younger… Joking aside…

The first whiff that reaches my nose is associated with a glamorous teenager getting ready to go out. Freshly ironed clothes from mom, long hair smelling of fabric softener, a fresh, unspoiled aroma, pleasant to sniff, somehow likable.

After the top note, the fragrance becomes floral and zesty. A tart passion fruit sprays its scent molecules all around, jasmine and orange blossom share the heart with it.

The base note becomes more mature and less girlish. A bit like “Armani Code for her,” it sneaks in and has a lasting power that even surpasses that, despite the extremely cold temperatures.

The tonka bean adds the finishing touch, I can hardly detect any musk, ebony… probably responsible for the slightly woody touch. I can perceive the tartness of the passion fruit even in the base, paired with the delicious chocolaty “bean”!

This is also the end of the “girlie scent,” as Secret Potion lacks any candy-like sweetness. It has the right to be a “mature” scent on my skin, with which I feel attractive and young, isn’t that something???

And let’s be honest… who among us sweet middle-aged women doesn’t love the things that a young girl likes… the “girlie” in us never dies….

Pink Potion
~ Inspiration ~
The first perfume from Christina Aguilera was a gift I received, and I liked it a lot.
I became aware of this one through the advertising, and after I had a sniff test, I wished for it for Christmas (of course, I asked for the largest bottle :D)

Christina authentically serves as the face of her fragrances and fits perfectly with the seductive perfumes.

~ Bottle ~
The name means "secret potion" and is very fitting and creatively chosen. I’m not particularly fond of the shape here, while the pink color excites me. I find the other bottles more beautiful and aesthetic.
The charm could have been omitted (or at least made smaller). It bothers me during use.

~ Scent ~
A hit from the very beginning!
Although the top note is supposed to be very citrusy (mandarins, lemons), it hardly comes through at all, being skillfully overshadowed by the passion fruit. I love scents with orange blossom and vanilla, and in this one, there are even 3 accords in the heart note that I really like - jasmine, lotus, and orange blossom.
Warm and somewhat heavy, the scent is rounded out by its base notes, featuring a vanilla tonka bean.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts quite a long time; it easily lasts through a workday (even longer on clothes and hair). I don’t think you can overdo this scent; I like to use several sprays and don’t find it to be too overpowering.

~ Occasion ~
I prefer to use it in autumn and winter.
It is warm and cozy, but not too heavy or too sweet, making it pleasant to wear both during the day and in the evening. It gives you a nice boost of confidence.

~ Conclusion ~
My favorite scent from Christina Aguilera!

PS: I think it has a slight resemblance to Loverdose by Diesel, but it is much softer.

Elixir
I like Christina Aguilera.
Especially when she sings "Hurt" with her sensitive voice, I have to pause and listen.
"I hurt myself - by hurting you" - how true - and not cheesy at all.
I can think of x situations that apply to me in this sense.
Unfortunately.
Then I would like to have a "secret potion" that could turn back time, so that one gets the chance to behave differently. More generously, understandingly, patiently.
And exactly this gentleness radiates from the "Elixir".
It is not demanding, but soft and gently accommodating.
Mandarin and passion fruit delicately caress the nose without being intrusive.
Jasmine brightens the mood and the lotus is transparent and inviting.
The ebony adds a portion of seriousness and stability, and the tonka bean gives the potion something mystical.

This fragrance has something white-magical that touches and comforts me.
Strangely enough, it reminds me of Dali's "Persistence of Memory," where the clocks may melt but do not dissolve into nothingness.

Once again a super scent
A really very, very pleasant fragrance, it's also a classic again! Smells really good and can be worn on any occasion. The scent is not too sweet, intense, but just right; I find the scent also smells sexy, I'm curious about the comments I will get on this fragrance.

2 hours after applying, I'm suddenly confused because I can smell my Good Girl or La Rive Miss Dream. Delicious but not over 30'.

I found this one really nice for a star fragrance. I've had almost all the X-Tina scents and this one was my favorite.

Round floral-oriental sillage wonder, back then the best scent from Aguilera. So good that I had to repurchase it, 10 years later.

Fruity and, above all, fresh. Unfortunately, it’s a bit subtle in terms of sillage. Perfect for summer leisure time.
