This one is now at discounters
And it’s worthy of the new $50 price tag (100ml). It’s quite soft on my skin, but the longevity is there (I get a good 6-8 hours). The projection goes maybe 1-2ft for the first hour or so, then it fades to a soft 6in-1ft bubble for the rest of the ride, and sillage is pretty soft as well, but the scent itself is quite nice if you like the sweeter stuff. It’s kind of a fruity vanilla that I get, with a soft hint of ambroxan. I will say that if I paid the full $90 for this, I’d be quite upset, but at this price, it’s a worthy grab. It’s a great up close, snuggle & cuddle juice, but don’t expect it to Bomb through at a bar or club. Some people compare it to Sauvage and Aventus, but I don’t get anything remotely close to those. It’s much sweeter and softer than both. I’d say check it out at Dillards or Ulta, and if you like it, grab it at TJ MAXX or fragrancex. Not for everyone, but good enough for me.

Easy Reach for Most Occasions
This is a well-balanced, versatile, very wearable scent that's a great value for your money at discounters, even if it's nothing to write home about.

A little sweet, a little spicy, a little fruity, a little floral, a little woody, a little creamy, some pleasant vanilla, and a touch of leather. It's something you can reach for in just about any occasion, any time of day or night, and during any season, and not really have to think about it. Maybe not the gym or a beach/pool party, but other than that, it's an easy reach.

You're not going to be challenged or inspired or transported to a different world, you're just going to smell nice to yourself and those around you, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

pineapple
Coach Platinum opens up with pineapple, juniper berries, black pepper, and sage. Also, there is the ever present vanilla. It sort of smells like a spicier Dylan Blue mixed with Sauvage EDP, with an extra heaping of vanilla. Don’t worry, smelling like other fragrances, will be a common theme with this scent.

I actually like the pineapple and juniper mix up top, its fun and delightful. However, the pineapple craps out pretty quick, and the juniper is left on its own. At this stage, it is a battle to smell like a mix between Sauvage EDP and Luna Rossa Carbon.

It’s weird to have the Sauvage comparison, as there isn’t an ambroxan note listed. However, Coach Platinum does give off that effect.

It goes back and forth between smelling like those two fragrances, for a while. Finally, it decides that it wants to smell like a version of Carbon, with vanilla, leather, and sage. The vanilla becomes the strongest note, with a smooth leather in there.

The sage, along with other notes, substitute for the lavender found in Carbon. Gives Platinum a more aromatic spice, which I do enjoy.

The vanilla and leather, sit on top of sandalwood, at the end. I have to say, this part is quite enjoyable to smell on my skin. I dig it.

So, that’s it. Take Luna Rossa Carbon, add lots of vanilla, throw in some leather, and you have Coach Platinum for Men (for the most part).

I don’t want to make it sound bad, as I like all of these scents, as well as Coach Platinum for Men. It is just that, I’m sick of this formula, that every designer feels the need to replicate.

Formal Masculinity
This fragrance brings a classy, masculine edge that is super versatile. I found this fragrance to be a great fit for daily, spring, autumn/fall, and summer evenings. This almost copies the idea of a Pour Homme and gives it a softer yet light and fruity opening. This eventually makes Coach Platinum quite an underrated gem that could perform if you're searching for something versatile and classy yet still obviously masculine.

Underrated awesome
Hmmm. Coach Platinum doesn't quite have the moisturising effect of Sauvage but it does a decent job if you're on a budget. Pineapple smells awesome (except in beta fragrances like Aventus) and it's no exception here. This is definitely a unique scent as you don't see this combination of notes too often. That cashmeran is off its head. Makes the vanilla overdose that I hate actually wearable. Can't believe I actually like something that is vanilla dominant, hope I'm not sick. This is nice to own because all the snobs hate it.

Cheap & synthetic smelling, how is this a Bruno Jovanovic creation? Starts nice, then its a metallic, generic sweet nothing. Dissapointing..

I like this better than Sauvage and Carbon. A more mature take on Sauvage. This is not trying to Aventus, believe me. 10 out of 10

It can serve as a daily wear, for a nighttime scent, and fits with any age group. However, it does skew towards the youthful end of the spec

Weirdly synthetic and oddly feels like a fougere to me. It seemed to have decent performance but I think there's better options for sure.

Smells great. Lasts a long time. Very sweet. Similar to Sauvage but goes it's own way. Worth the price on discounters.

Starts off with a strong pineapple note but quickly shifts into a more civilized Sauvage. Quite derivative, apart from the opening.

The initial spray is good! Pineapple sticks out! Then the drydown happens and it’s just vanillin. Ugh.
