Easy Reach for Most Occasions
This is a well-balanced, versatile, very wearable scent that's a great value for your money at discounters, even if it's nothing to write home about.

A little sweet, a little spicy, a little fruity, a little floral, a little woody, a little creamy, some pleasant vanilla, and a touch of leather. It's something you can reach for in just about any occasion, any time of day or night, and during any season, and not really have to think about it. Maybe not the gym or a beach/pool party, but other than that, it's an easy reach.

You're not going to be challenged or inspired or transported to a different world, you're just going to smell nice to yourself and those around you, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

Not fish, not meat!
Coach Platinum is a thoroughly successful fragrance. Unfortunately, he does everything well, just nothing right. It does not arrange itself in a specific direction. In the classification function, I have actually given everything apart from smoky and animalistic. In the beginning it smells fresh, flowery, sweet and fruity. But everything is very synthetic but not unpleasant. In the course of time the flowery and fresh gets lost and gives room for gourmand notes. Slightly spicy of caramel and vanilla. These notes remain until the end. On the positive side, it does not become musty at the base like so many non-niche fragrances. But I don't really know what to do with it, it's not really masculine either. I would always come up with something better for the respective fragrance before I apply CP... Maybe if you go for a walk with your partner in the park in summer and don't want to apply anything special. No clear recommendation to buy. I still don't regret it.
Special note. The sprayer is not very powerful but because of this "snap-in" function, i.e. that you can only turn the spray head in 90° angles (if you know what I mean), it is possible to apply exactly where you intended to apply it, unlike many, actually all other bottles. Often the spring twists when pressed and the good juice goes wrong :(
This is the mechanism I would like to see in all bottles :D

The creamy vanilla kick for the day
The original Coach for Men is undoubtedly one of my previous favourites for everyday use and is a perfect match for me both as an office and leisure fragrance for spring and summer. A pleasant shower gel freshness blends light fruity notes of pear and cake to create a blend that always wants to go and lends itself. In its presentation and its areas of application (and for me less in its actual fragrance; for me it still has a certain originality) reminiscent of the blue models Sauvage, BdC, Invictus etc., its admittedly somewhat meagre durability is probably its biggest, but for me the only problem, which is relativized by the significantly lower price.

Now, one year later, the first flanker of this PLV gem appeared. Coach Platinum the name, silver-chrome the design, EdP the concentration. And from many sides it is claimed (as well as in places with the original) that this is a Sauvage clone with extra vanilla. On the skin, Coach Platinum is even further away from Dior's hobbyhorse than his predecessor. Not least because the ambroxane component that makes Sauvage what it is is completely missing.

Nevertheless, the vanilla dominates, although not as synthetic as one might think. From the very first spraying, the association of hot vanilla sauce with an apple strudel is closer than that of artificial vanillin. From the head to the heart, however, there is still a pleasant freshness that I appreciate so much in the original, even though the fragrance is by no means as fruity as the top notes (pineapple, juniper berry; neither of which I can really perceive) suggest. Nevertheless, as it progresses, the fragrance becomes warmer, more dignified and pachouli-heavy, which makes it suitable for the day as well as the following early evening. If it would last that long.

Unfortunately, the durability leaves a little bit to be desired here as well. Although Coach Platinum lasts longer than the original, it does not last long enough to be able to see blindly that this is the next higher concentration. From the Sillage much better, the durability is the essential problem here as well; definitely one of those fragrances where you are well advised to fill it in a mobile 10ml sprayer and take it with you.

At the latest then you should also be able to drive very well with Coach Platinum, however, it should be said: For a flanker it is relatively far from the original!

This one is now at discounters
And it’s worthy of the new $50 price tag (100ml). It’s quite soft on my skin, but the longevity is there (I get a good 6-8 hours). The projection goes maybe 1-2ft for the first hour or so, then it fades to a soft 6in-1ft bubble for the rest of the ride, and sillage is pretty soft as well, but the scent itself is quite nice if you like the sweeter stuff. It’s kind of a fruity vanilla that I get, with a soft hint of ambroxan. I will say that if I paid the full $90 for this, I’d be quite upset, but at this price, it’s a worthy grab. It’s a great up close, snuggle & cuddle juice, but don’t expect it to Bomb through at a bar or club. Some people compare it to Sauvage and Aventus, but I don’t get anything remotely close to those. It’s much sweeter and softer than both. I’d say check it out at Dillards or Ulta, and if you like it, grab it at TJ MAXX or fragrancex. Not for everyone, but good enough for me.

Cheap & synthetic smelling, how is this a Bruno Jovanovic creation? Starts nice, then its a metallic, generic sweet nothing. Dissapointing..

I like this better than Sauvage and Carbon. A more mature take on Sauvage. This is not trying to Aventus, believe me. 10 out of 10
