Blackpepper Comme des Garçons 2016

I was given the fragrance for the first time over 7 years ago and initially didn't like it. The fragrance is very heavy and smoky. You can test the fragrance at home by unscrewing your pepper shaker with fresh peppercorns and smelling it. At first, I was shocked at how authentic this fragrance smells almost 1:1 like black pepper. (The name suggests it, but I was still surprised)

I've had the fragrance in my drawer for years and have used it maybe 2-3 times in winter over the years because I always wanted to try it out. But it always smelled far too dark, intense and strong for me. As a young person, you don't want to smell like pepper and are much less aware of how complex this fragrance actually is.

Then last year, I discovered it for myself. I put it on again and immediately noticed that I felt good and the smell was great. At work, a colleague said to me: "What's that great herbal scent you have on?" I suddenly realized that he was right and I paid attention to the many nuances of the fragrance that I had never noticed.

Since I got involved with the fragrance and realized how multifaceted and interesting it is, it has become my "to-go" fragrance in winter. Very spicy herbs with a slightly green and woody accent. Really great. But you should test it first.
