Why do you want to smell like curd soap?
Marseille is the third soap fragrance I have tested - after The Muse and Pure Soap Conclusion:
i find The Muse terribly synthetic and penetrating.
Pure Soap is similar, but softer.
Marseille, on the other hand, smells quite authentically of curd soap and doesn't have the pungent synthetic quality of The Muse. The fragrance is very linear and does not change. It has a pleasant freshness that may create a feeling of cleanliness on hot summer days.
But do you really want to smell like you've just washed your hands thoroughly in the toilet of a French country restaurant with a cheap soap?
For me, the series of experiments ends with Marseille, because I have to say: Pure soap fragrances are not for me. I don't wash my hands with curd soap either, but have been using Speick's liquid soap for many years.
I'm going to do some layering experiments with #Marseille. It could well be that a fresh bergamot scent or a monothematic floral fragrance will take the soap to a higher level. But I won't be wearing it solo. There are very nice clean fragrances, e.g. Dia Woman Eau de Parfum, which are much more interesting, fresh and multi-layered. I sometimes use curd soap to wash the dog when he has rolled in something stinky. For me, however, I prefer other "cleaning agents".

The scent of soap itself does not exist, it is always a mixture of musk, flowers, creamy notes etc... But certainly great for layering. And CdG see themselves as experimenters with their fragrances anyway...
