Savon de Marseille
If you've ever smelled Savon de Marseille you'll know right away, that this is it!
To me this smell is about herbs, orangeb blossom, lavender, verbena, fresh citrus peels, green olives and cypresses. And, the new fragrance captures this Mediterranian aromatic coctail spot on. Plus, they enriched it with neroli, which are very natural-smelling and quite bright here.
I love that they made this fragrance so, that it smells like handcrafted soap (they probably used some aldehydes to help recreate the soapness in the composition). However, at the same time my nose somehow knows that this fragrance belongs to Comme des Garcons - there is definately the brand’s DNA in it.
Marseille perfume is in itself rich enough, yet it is also smooth and harmoniously done.

Neroli
I was expecting this to be an edgier CDG version of Paper Soap by J-Scent, but found this to be too neroli-centric in the opening to be an actual soap scent. I find it difficult to appreciate neroli unless it's blended and softened by other notes. This perfume is an example of the type of pure neroli note that I don't particularly enjoy, unfortunately.

seife meife

Finally!
When I first sniffed the fragrance from an AF, it immediately went into my "re-test box" because I wasn't sure if I'd got it right after testing a few other new fragrances at the time.
Today was the day, so I sprayed it on and I almost can't stop "inhaling" it. Incredibly good!
In my opinion, the name "Marseille" is absolutely apt.
I've been there before and I find it more than amazing how you can capture this city so well in a fragrance.
The scent conveys such a wonderful freshness of a wonderfully cool room at the height of summer on the French coast. A freshly made bed with cool linen after a day at the beach. In a metropolis where the smell of salty air from the sea, sun, Mediterranean food and simply life is always present.
The fragrance is so wonderfully fresh, cooling, soothing, soapy and "clean", a real delight for me and I have now bought it too.
I already like it now in the current cool temperatures, but I'm looking forward to it helping me through the coming and corrosive summer temperatures a little. And it will!
Finally a fragrance that does NOT end in any kind of sweetness... Simply great!

"Game Changer"
After rediscovering my love of fragrances after more than 20 years, I had the opportunity to test some good samples thanks to Parfumo. There were perfumes that I liked better and others that I didn't like so much. All the reviews I wrote were meant sincerely and I still stand behind them 100%. But at a certain point I had to admit to myself that there are just too many good fragrances out there, but I don't necessarily want to smell like most of them. The perfume addiction seems to have taken hold of me and never let go.

I also bought good and carefully selected bottles, but whenever I put them on, I didn't really feel comfortable with them. Subjectively, it just wasn't me!

One of my first samples was The Muse!
And even though the fragrance is a very feminine scent,
i never really got it out of my head because I appreciated its clean simplicity.
On the other hand, it was a little too synthetic and present for me! Too feminine!

In my search for a classic soap and fresh laundry fragrance, I asked "The Scenter" for advice, and in addition to the Couleur Primaire and the Molecule 02, he also referred to the Marseille. Many thanks again for that. Top!

As soon as I saw the fragrance notes, I was hooked.
The Marseille was indeed my first blind purchase! And I don't regret it for a minute. On the contrary, I immediately ordered a second 50ml
Bottle as a backup. A fragrance that I couldn't have imagined better.

In my opinion, the Marseille smells like a very high-quality yet simple curd soap. It's a fairly linear fragrance that doesn't deliver the classic woody notes and dynamics in the drydown like other fragrances. And that's exactly what I love about it!
The Marseille was exactly the fragrance I was looking for right from the start. Everything and everyone can smell like this. Completely unobtrusive, and yet unique.
You can't beat its cleanliness and simplicity. Anyone can really wear it, anywhere! It simply smells good and is also long-lasting without any pungent notes

I agree with the opinion of other perfumos.
The Marseille is a lighter, finer and more sophisticated version of The Muse. Naturally soapy and less synthetic.

The Marseille is my new great love alongside the "Join The Club - Torino21 | XerJoff" 1 and the Genetic Bliss! Conclusion! Less is often more!
